It's been two days and a few hours since Zack and I last met, and I hadn't heard a single apology from Ryder. I had no clue why I didn't object to the idea of Zachary's reward and my loss. When he made his proposal, I simply nodded and he went. But I still had little faith in Ryder. I still trusted him.

Zachary had made it clear that I was not supposed to, in any way, cheat. I wasn't meant to go to Ryder and demand an apology, convince him to apologise, or stylishly make him want to apologise. Neither was I supposed to lie that he apologised, whereas he didn't.

I told him I wasn't going to cheat or lie, but he didn't believe me. So, he made me put my right hand on a Bible and promise not cheat. After much hesitation, I gave in.

"Sam? Sam?"

I was brought back to reality by the sound of Ryder's voice and the snapping of his fingers.

I was about to respond, but then I remembered my vow. I wrote 'Hmmmm?'.

"Are you okay?" He asked, anxiety written all over his face.

I wrote 'Ummmm, yeah.'.

He sighed. "Are you sure? Because you don't look okay."

I wrote 'I'm sure. I'm doing great.'. I even gave him a smile, which I know wasn't fooling anybody.

"Okay, then. If you're sure you're okay, then what page did the teacher give us for homework?"

I made a quick glance at the textbook open wide on his table. Page 103 and 104. I gave a guess and wrote '103'.

He nodded. "Okay. Which exercise?"

I glanced again. Exercises 14G and 14H. I wrote '14H'.

He laughed. "Nice try, Collins. It's G."

I frowned. It then dawned on me that I didn't even pay attention through the whole stupid Economics class. I packed up my things and left the class, Ryder following shortly behind me.

"Sam? What happened to you during class? It seemed as if you were on another planet."

I wrote 'I was just lost in my thoughts.'.

"Care to share?"

I wrote 'Must I?'.

"I won't push you."

I let out a breath that I didn't know I was holding. I wasn't going to tell Ryder about the 'agreement' Zack and I had. Heck, I wasn't even allowed to tell him.

I sure do hope Ryder says sorry soon. We only had 6 hours left.

I trusted him and he had let me down. Badly. I didn't blame him. I put the blame on myself for having faith in him. Now, I was awaiting the coming of Zack.

My heart was in my throat as I opened the door. He was standing there with a big smirk on his face. I had texted him 3 hours ago (when the three days had come to an end) that Ryder had not done what I expected. I turned my back on him and stood in the middle of the living room, folding my arms. He came in and closed the door behind him.

"I told you." He said.

I grabbed my book, which was almost filled up, and my pen and wrote 'Told me what?'.

"I told you he would disappoint you in the end."

I rolled my eyes. I was beginning to lose affection for Zachary. Day by day I loved Ryder more and let go off my feelings for Zack. Right now, I wasn't even sure whether I considered Zachary as my friend anymore. These past weeks, Zack had been a little cruel, although he didn't make it obvious.

(If you read the last chapters again, try and notice Zachary's attitude towards Samantha. You'll see what I mean.)

"Are you ready?" He asked.

I closed my eyes and nodded, even though I wasn't. If this was happening a year or some months ago, I would have been so excited. But not any more.

"Then let's do this. For the second time." He said.

I had totally forgotten we had kissed before. It was at a classmate's 15th birthday party in the 9th grade when we played truth or dare. Someone had dared Zack to kiss me. And he did.

Warning: Please do not proceed if you're not comfortable reading this kind of thing. Don't worry, it's not erotica and there are no profanities mentioned. I will notify you when the part's over. Thank you.

He placed his arms on either side of my waist. I put my hands on his neck. Our lips joined. They moved in sync with each other. It was a slow kiss. Sometimes, we would part our lips to take in air, then continue. He licked my bottom lip, asking for entrance, to which I granted. He pressed my body against his. My left hand moved to his cheek, while I placed my right hand on his shoulder. I will admit, I was enjoying the kiss.

The part's over.

Suddenly, I heard a thud. Something had dropped on the wodden floor. I immediately broke the kiss and directed my eyes to the source of the noise, thinking it was my mum. How I wished it was her.

"Ry."

My voice came out shaky and raspy. I sounded like I was about to cry.

His lips were slightly parted. He didn't say anything; just turned and went out the door, gently shutting it. I ran out the door and stood on the porch. Tears were coming out of my eyes really fast. He was already on Celina, and his helmet was on. He put the key in the ignition and started the engine.

"Ryder! Wait! It's not what you think. I can explain. Please, Ry." I ran down the porch.

He looked at me. Tears were also dropping from his eyes one after the other. He shook his head sadly and drove off.

"Ryder! Ryder!" I ran off the porch and onto the road, but he was gone. I dried my tears, but it wasn't working because they kept on coming. I went inside.

Zack was standing at the exact same spot I left him. Only that he was trying not to laugh. I glared at him.

"Get out. Just go, Zack."

He walked over to me and kissed my forehead. "Bye, Sammy."

As soon as I heard the door click, I fell to the floor, crying. Coincidentally, what Ryder was holding was on the floor next to me.

A bunch of red roses. Ryder brought me red roses without thorns. This thought only made me cry harder. There was a piece of paper between two roses:

I'm really sorry.
Please forgive me.
-Ry

Hey guys! Any thoughts on this chapter? This is one of my personal favourites, though it wasn't easy to write. What do you think will happen in the next chapter, all ye #Samary and #Samder fans? Stay posted for more. Bye! :)
