When I opened my eyes, I was lying down on a bed in a small room. I was wearing the blue dress from the party. I knew I wasn't in my bedroom because the walls of this room were white instead of lilac.

"Where am I?" I said quietly to no one in particular.

"Sammy!"

"She's awake!"

Three figures surrounded me instantly, but one of them engulfed me in a hug. The figures were in a blur and I couldn't recognise anyone of them.

"What am I doing here?" I asked, rubbing my eyes.

"Don't worry, you'll be okay." A deep voice said.

I continued rubbing my eyes for a while. I blinked continuously and then I was able to recognise them.

"Rhylee? Zack? Ryder?"

"She's okay!" Rejoiced Zack.

"How did I get here? What happened?"

"It's a long story." Ryder said, avoiding eye contact.

"The only thing I remember is running away from that drunk guy and then complete darkeness."

Rhylee and Zack looked at each other. Zack whispered something in Rhylee's ear, to which she nodded to. Then the both of them went out of the room, leaving me and Ryder alone.

"Where did they go?" I asked him.

"To get some fresh air." He still avoided eye contact with me. He was standing by my right hand side.

"Are you still angry at me?" I asked him.

He sighed and went to sit down at the foot of the bed.

"I don't know, Sam."

"I'm sorry."

He looked at me this time. "I know you are."

"Then why won't you forgive me?"

"I already have. I'm sorry too. For the way I treated you last time you came around."

"It's okay."

"No, Sam. It's not okay. I was just so angry. I shouldn't have given Willow that instruction not to talk to you again. Anytime I think of you, that image of you and Zack just pops into my mind. I couldn't take it anymore. I was going to come over to your house today to tell you I'm sorry. And when I saw that psychopath touching you yesterday, I was filled with rage. I was holding a glass of beer in my hand and I used it to hit him on the head."

"It was you." I said wide-eyed. I was in total shock.

"Yes, Sam." He held my hand.

"Thank you, Ry."

"My pleasure."

"No, really. Thank you. If it wasn't for you, who knows what would have happened to me?"

"Yeah, I know. You're nothing without me." He smirked.

I glared at him. "Don't ruin the moment, kill joy."

He laughed. Oh, how I missed that laugh.

"Why, thank you." He smirked.

"Did I saw that out loud?" I stammered and turned bright red.

"You did." He laughed.

"Don't make it worse." I groaned and buried my face in my hands.

"Anyway, how have you been?"

"Not too good."

"And why is that?" He asked, amusement lining his face.

I glared at him once again. "I know you're waiting for me to say 'because I didn't get to see you for a whole week and some days.'. But guess what? I wasn't doing well because my mum was away. Not because I missed you."
