*Author's note*

Hey all been awhile since an update came to this book, but here I am with another update :) Now this one is a Loki request and I want to make something clear, THERE IS CHILD ABUSE IN THIS FIC, SO IF THAT MAKES YOU UNCOMFORTABLE, DON'T READ IT. Also if you see or know of a child or anyone being abused, REPORT IT!! CAUSE YOU'RE JUST AS GUILTY AS THE ABUSER IF YOU REMAIN QUIET. Also there are MANY signs besides one not accepting touch, there are some like how I've written the reader who act so defensive it's almost like they are cruel little beings or become bullies themselves. Also there's swearing in this fic, fighting, and some mentions of Child services and I don't mean any offense to them. Other than those warnings I hope you all enjoy this fic :)

You aren't the only one whose been hurt

I can't believe this is my punishment. To sit here for 8hrs a day for five days as some sort of 'teacher's assistant' to these '4th grade' Midgardian brats. Some of which I believe shouldn't have even made it this far in their education as they can't even answer the simplest of questions.

And there were some that just thought they knew everything and didn't listen to any authority. Those spoiled brat were the ones that really irked me. They strutted the hallways like they owned the entire school, kind of like how my brother was before his banishment to this world over a year ago.

Out of all these annoying, spoiled, incompetent brats amongst this classroom, there was one child that stood out, (Y/n) (l/n). She had medium length (h/c) and (e/c) and was the quietest one of the class. While she would pay attention to the lectures, it seemed like she mostly wrote or drew pictures in her journal.

It was currently what the school calls "recess" where the kids can take out their energy and just run around like wild animals. All but young (y/n). She was sitting underneath a tree reading a book that was in her lap.

Against my normal instinct, I would've just left her be and allowed her to read, I mean that's what I always did while Thor and his friends went off to train.

But for some reason I just felt like I needed to make some sort of conversation with her. I walked up to her and just stood there for a bit until I cleared my throat since she didn't take any heed of my presence. She looked up and I said.

"What book are you reading?"

"Fellowship of the ring." She answered bluntly.

"Tolkien, I see. Quite an interesting author, in his own way."

"Yeah. Even though I've read this book over 200 times."

"I'm impressed. Never did I think one your age could read one book and not get bored with it."

"That's everyone else, not me."

"Indeed." Okay so far so good. But now what the hel was I supposed to talk about? What do Midgardian children talk about? "I—"

"You don't have to talk to me you know." She said plain and simple. She closed her book and stood up from her spot. "I know you're only here to serve your time for what you did. You don't have to pretend to make conversation with me. It's a waste of your time, and my time." Ohh so she's also a quick-witted child. Should've expected this. "So please don't even bother yourself doing this just if you're not enjoying it."

It was then the bell rang. I looked down at her, and I must be going crazy because I think I saw some sort of bruising on her wrist. She pulled her sleeve down and immediately took off towards the black top to line up with the rest of the class.
