The Devil Within (The conjuring Ed and Lorraine Warren fan fic )

I had to go so quickly that I didn't get to say good bye

Judy rushed upstairs to Lexis' room and knocked on the door " Lexi" Judy called out softly.
" Go away" Lexi called out as she laid on her bed.
Judy knocked again " Lexi it's me Judy, can I come in?" There was silence which gave Judy the answer she was looking for.
Judy slowly and carefully opened the door and poked her head into the room to find Lexi curled up on her bed and her shoulders shaking as she sobbed.
" Hey Lex it's okay" Judy rushed over to her sister and comforted her.
" I can't believe them, I thought mom would understand I mean we are like her and do you remember that story she and dad always tells us about how she finally found the one true person who believed her and then what happens when we her daughters tell the truth and we just get told off for things that are out of our control" Lexi sniffed.
" yeah that damn story. I know Lex I know" Judy sighed.
" Don't let them get to you Lex and I believed you  I mean hell some of it has been happening to me" Judy shrugged.
"I know Judy I know and thank you for stick up for me back there" Lexi sniffed and gave a weak smile.
" I'll leave you alone but if you need me then I am here" Judy said getting up off the bed.
" No stay Judy" Lexi reached out her hand and placed it on Judy's arm.
Judy got back on the bed and sat next to Lexi and wrapped her arm round her sister.
Minutes later there was a gentle knock on the door " Who is it?" Judy called out.
" It's me girls" Lorraine said.
" Do you want mom to come in?" Judy asked and Lexi just shrugged.
" Come in Mom" Judy called out.
Lorraine slowly opened the door and closed it behind her. She walked slowly over to Lexi's bed and sat down.
" Hey girls, I know I am the last person who you want to see and let alone hear from but I do believe you sweetheart I really do" Lorraine said tenderly.
" Well it didn't sound like it back there" Lexi said and Lorraine sighed " I know I'm sorry it's just it's a lot to take in when your daughters both say that things have happened to them. We thought that you girls didn't inherit my clairvoyant genes but it seems like we were wrong" Lorraine said gently placing her hand on Lexi's side.
" You know what I wish didn't either because it is just crap. I can't have a normal day anymore without someone popping up and I just can't take anymore" Lexi sobbed.
" Oh sweetie come here" Lorraine climbed more on the bed so that She could comfort Lexi who shrugged off her mother's touch.
" we are in this mess because of you mom, so just go away and pretend that nothing is happening to us" Lexi snapped.
Lorraine let out a hurtful sigh and got up off the bed and turned to walk away " Mom Wait" Lexi called out and Lorraine stopped and turned around. Lexi got up and rushed to her mother and hugged her tight " I'm sorry mom I didn't mean what I said" Lexi said as she hugged her mother who kissed the top of her head.
Lexi let go of her mother " Mom about the museum I did go in but really the door was open and it did shut on me and something had that doll out of the cage" Lorraine nodded " I know darling I saw it Happen in a vision when I first saw you and Judy this afternoon" Lorraine confessed.
" Why didn't you say anything?" Judy asked.
" Because I was waiting for one of you to bring it up or were you trying to keep quiet?" Lorraine raised an eyebrow at them.
" I was going to tell you mom I promise but I was worried you wouldn't believe me but part of me thought you already knew about it" Lexi shrugged.
" Is that all that happened girls?" Both girls instantly nodded.
Lorraine eyed them suspiciously " Okay if you're sure" Lorraine smiled as she left the room.
" Do you think mom saw a vision of us in the museum doing our Ouija board?" Lexi asked Judy who shrugged " I don't think so I mean she would have said wouldn't she" Judy reasoned.
Later that evening Lorraine and her mother Georgiana came up stairs to Lexis  bedroom and said goodnight " I'm off to be girls I can barely keep my eyes open" Lorraine said weakly " Okay Mom, night" They said in unison " Don't stay up to late"Lorraine raised an eyebrow at her daughters.
" Yes mom" they both said.
" Night girls" Lorraine kissed both girls on the top of their heads and then left the room.
Later that evening Ed Warren went upstairs and gently knocked on Lexi's door and opened it. Ed poked his head round the door " You girls are still up?" He questioned.
" We were studying" Lexi moaned.

~ The next day ~
That morning Lexi and Judy rushed down stairs and sat down at the breakfast table and poured themselves some cereal and sat quietly.
" Morning girls" Ed said cheerfully trying to break the silence.
Lexi's never left the table as she looked directly a head quietly munching on her cereal whilst Judy looked at her parents and gave them a weak smile " Morning dad" Judy said back but Lexi didn't speak.
Lexi was trying her absolute best to hide the fact that there was a older gentlemen standing in the corner but only she could see him at the moment which was weird why wasn't her mother seeing him or hearing him too.
Lexi shifted uncomfortably in her seat as the older gentleman talked away telling Lexi that he had just passed away.
" You're are the only one here who can see me" Lexi gave the most tiniest of nods to show she could see and hear him.
"Will you help me?" Lexi gave the tiniest nods again.
" Come on Lexi we better go or we'll miss the bus" Lexi got up left the table and didn't say a word to either of her parents.
" Bye,have a good day at school" Lorraine called out to both girls. The gentleman followed her and Judy as they waited for the bus.
" over the road an elderly lady that Lexi recognised seeing every once and a while " That's my wife.We've been together for 26 years and then I had to go. I had to go so quickly I didn't have time to say goodbye to her, didn't have time to tell her how much I love her and she really needs to hear it now. Will you give her that message for me?" The gentleman asked softly.
Lexi looked at Judy who was staring to her right where Lexi stood but Judy looked past Lexi and was clearly looking at the man standing next to Lexi." lex....who's that?" Judy's voice quivered "Don't sorry I'll explain everything....How will she know it's from you?" Lexi asked turning to talk to the man "Tell her I want her to keep on having a glass of champagne every Friday night. I want her to light the fire like we always did and make our secret toast to the moon and stars like we always did and tell her to never feel alone and then she'll know" Lexi sighed.
" I don't know" Lexi hesitated.
" Please she really needs to hear it and you're the only one that can tell her for me. I had to go so quickly that I never got to tell her myself" Lexi nodded "Okay" Lexi took a deep breath and made her way over to the lady who was making her way back towards her house " Excuse me" Lexi called out politely.
The lady turned round and smiled weakly at Lexi " Hi May I help you?" The lady asked.
" There's no way for me to say this but...." Lexi told her exactly what the ladies husband told her to say and the woman stood in shock with tears slipping down her cheeks as she listened to what Lexi was telling her.
" Thank you....I know about your family you know" the lady eventually replied as she wiped away the tears. Lexi wasn't sure how to respond so she smiled " I think most people do" she replied with a weak smile.
The man smiled at his wife " Thank you...but be careful he's after you and he won't rest until he gets you" He said to Lexi who smiled back and nodded.
The bus arrived " Lexi come on we're gonna be late!" Judy called out as she leaned round the front of the bus.
" Coming" Lexi called out as she rushed over to the bus and managed to board the bus before it pulled out and drove off.

Later on that morning Ed was in his office whilst Lorraine pottered round the house and did the house work. Lorraine had just folded the laundry and made her way to the girls bedrooms. Lorraine opened the door to Lexi's room and sighed when she saw the mess scattered round the room. Lorraine placed the basket on the bed and started picking up the clothes that were scattered all over the floor. Lorraine bent down to pick up a top that was sticking out under the bed but it was stuck so Lorraine pulled the top and put it with the rest of the clothes to wash. Lorraine noticed a sock tucked under the bed so she bent down and lifted the covers and picked up the sock only to notice something that shouldn't be there. Lorraine pulled it out and looked at it for a second " Ed hon, can you come here a minute?" Lorraine called out.
" Can it wait Lorraine I'm busy" Ed called out " No Ed this certainly can't wait!" Lorraine yelled " Hurray" Lorraine yelled .
" I'm coming" Ed yelled back.
" What is it?" Ed finally answered as he stood by the door.
" I think You're gonna want to see this" Lorraine said moving aside for Ed to look at " Oh you have to be kidding me" Ed sighed.
