"It's hard to turn the page when you know someone won't be in the next chapter, but the story must go on."

Seulgi stared down at the three roses in her hand as she took slow, uncertain steps toward the aisle. There weren't a lot of mourners present in the room, but a small, sad smile appeared on her face when she met the eyes of the elderly woman that sat at the front row, right in front of Jooheon's coffin.

Her eyes averted to a girl that sat at the front row as well, but on the opposite side, by Jennie's coffin.

Kim Jisoo.

Jennie had introduced her to Jisoo a long time ago and they became very good friends, although they never had time to meet each other they still stayed in touch.

Jisoo showed her a warm smile and motioned for her to come and sit beside her. Seulgi walked over to the front row and was immediately welcomed by a big hug. She wrapped her arms around Jisoo and took a deep breath, feeling like she was on the verge of tears. She then noticed the man behind Jisoo who stood up straight and fixed his tie.

She released the hug and bowed to him as he did the same.

"This is Kim Taehyung, Jungkook's cousin." Jisoo introduced him.

"Hello," Seulgi bowed once again and he showed her a genuine smile.

"Hello. Kang Seulgi, right? Jungkook mentioned you a lot." He told her which caused a small smile to appear on her face.

Before they could exchange other few words, the three of them immediately sat down as they noticed the minister that entered the room.

Being lost in her own thoughts, Seulgi stared blankly in front of her, the minister's words sounding indistinct. It was hard for her to process everything that had happened. Just entering the chapel and being there was something she hadn't expected to happen. Something she never wanted to expect happen any time sooner.

As the minister stopped speaking she, as well as the others in the room, stood up for a moment of silence. She clutched on the roses in her hand and tightened her lips, shutting her eyes as she felt the tears streaming down her cheeks.

Seulgi felt a small squeeze on her hand and looked to her side. She felt the ends of her lips curl up as Jisoo showed her a sympathetic smile, tears in her eyes as well.

After a few minutes of pure silence she sat back down on the bench and listened to the music that was playing. A small giggle escaped her mouth as a fast rap song played all over the chapel, making all sorts of memories flash through her head.

Together with everyone else that sat in the front row, she stood up when the music ended and walked over to Jungkook's coffin. She placed a rose on top of it and touched it lightly, "Jungkook.." her voice choked with emotion as she tried to speak.

She felt a hand place on her shoulder and looked up to see Taehyung giving her a reassuring smile. She turned back to the coffin and pursed her lips together, she waited a few seconds before she opened her mouth.

"I hope that heaven's given you a second chance to show who you really are," she managed to say before she slowly walked over to Jennie's coffin.

When she reached it, she heard Jisoo burst into tears and immediately went to give her a hug. She wiped away Jisoo's tears and gave her one more hug, feeling her shoulder get wet as Jisoo's grip around her shoulders tightened.

As Jisoo calmed down they both placed their respective roses together on top of the coffin. Seulgi touched the coffin and smiled. "I promise to fight those criminals for you," she whispered and wiped away her own tears.

She then turned to the last coffin and bowed down to the elderly woman that stood still and grieved alone by the coffin. "Hello, Mrs. Lee."

Mrs. Lee took a good look at Seulgi and immediately embraced her in her arms. "It's been a while, Seulgi." She spoke and released the hug.

"It has," Seulgi's lips formed a thin line which Mrs. Lee noticed. "He loved you a lot."

Seulgi nodded with a sad smile, "I know." She whispered before turning her body towards the coffin. "I loved him a lot too," she placed her last rose on top of the coffin.

"Life just wasn't fair to him."

Seulgi walked out of the chapel together with Jisoo and Taehyung, her lips tightened as she spotted the guy in the black suit leaning on his car, waiting for her.

"I'll get going," she informed them and gave Jisoo a quick hug.

"Call me later when you arrive in Beijing, okay?" Jisoo told her and she nodded in response.

"It was nice meeting you, Seulgi," Taehyung stated and bowed to her.

"It was nice to meet you too," she smiled as they waved goodbye.

She turned around and walked slowly to him, careful of not tripping over her long, black dress. She tucked her hair behind her ear as a weak smile showed on her face when he walked over to her with open arms.

She clung to his shoulders, returning his embrace that she never wanted to leave and buried her face in his neck, inhaling the Blackberry and Bay scent that she loved so much. Neither planning nor wanting to let go of each other just yet, they stayed like that for just a few more minutes.

"We have to leave for the airport now, the other girls are waiting for you." She heard him tell her.

"I know," she murmured.

"Are you okay?" he asked her.

"Yeah.."

"Sure?"

"No."

Taeyong stepped away from the hug and held her hands in his. "I know that it's hard for you," he spoke softly while looking into her eyes, giving her a reassuring look that told her he would always be there during rough times.

She looked down on the ground and bit her lip, "they are in a better place now. Life was really tough for them."

He lifted her chin and looked her in the eyes before planting a soft kiss on her lips. It was short, but sweet and full with emotions. As they pulled away their foreheads touched and they looked into each other's eyes for a few seconds, just getting lost in them, and just appreciating the small moments they could spend being with each other.

"I love you," he whispered.

She smiled and wrapped her arms around his neck, giving him a small peck on his lips. "I love you too."

The End.
