Chapter 20: Teaching & Magic

As everyone is still looking at me puzzled there is 1 student who looks at me and says.

[you!... you are a teacher?]: unknown

[oh if it isn't Miko]: riku

[I thought that you needed to see the dean]: miko

[yes I did because I am going to be teaching at this school from now on]: riku

So in total there are 6 students in my class, maybe they only made this class because the look at me like a joke. Well either way I will turn this class into a top notch class by the end of this year.

[so Mr. Akiyama if you need anything else please feel free to ask me]: dean

[I will be fine thank you for your help, now I can start my teaching of these kids]: riku

[who are you calling a kid most of us are probably older than you]: all students

The dean leaves the room and now I can start my lessons, and to make a point I called everyone's attention to the front.

[ok everyone look up here this is what I think of your teachings]: riku

I hold up the textbooks and burn then without even chanting, the class looked at me with astonishment and then started speaking.

[ho-how did you do that?]: all students

[like I said I am your teacher and I am not a kid I am older than your parents]: riku

The students are looking at me with surprise and disbelief, but I didn't expect them to believe me though so I guess now is time to start class.

[ok for my first lesson all of you will hold out your dominant hand and make a ball with the element you are proficient in.]: riku

[thats easy we learned that the first week of school in first year we are all second years so this is nothing]: student 4

[oh is it now? Well then try it without a chant]: riku

As I show the students a water sphere the not only see that it's possible but I can use more than one element. In reality I can do whatever I want because I am a god but I will refrain from doing so while teaching at this school.

[now hold out your dominant hand and close your eyes. Picture a sphere of your element, remember the chant and will it into existence af if you are saying it but don't say it. After you have gotten use to doing it in your mind you can instantly cast magic, now try what I just said on your own]: riku

As the students are practicing and making little progress I can see a slacker asleep. To make an example for sleeping in my class I will wake him up while everyone watches.

[ok all of you stop for a second, who is that boy sleeping in here?]: riku

[sir, that slacker is known as Kirito he is taking you lightly]: student 1

[yes sir do you want me to wake him up?]: student 1

[no I will do it all of you watch my]: riku

I walk up to Kirito's desk and put my right hand out in front of me then a big water ball appears in my hand.

[this is how you utilize this magic now I will drop it onto our classmate Kirito here any other questions?]: riku

As the water ball hit Kirito's head he jumps up and looks around as to see who dare to hit him with water. He looks around and sees me with my hand still above his head, jumps up and starts yelling at me.

[hey you dumbass did you hit me with that water?]: kirito

[why yes I did do you have a problem?]: riku

[oh you asked for it, now I will show you who you messed with]: kirito

[hey Ki-]: student 2

As one of the students were trying to warn Kirito that I was the teacher I stopped him with my hand and the student went quiet.

[ok little boy come at me]: riku

[who are you calling little boy i'm older than you]: kirito

[let's fight I won't hit you with any attack magic I will just defend, if you and break my defence then you win, ok?]: riku

[ok then you asked for it little boy]: kirito

As Kirito starts to chant some fire magic I stand there waiting for him to finish his chant. I should have expected someone with his personality would hold fire magic as his pride.

[what you give up already then let me hit you now to show you who's boss]: kirito

As the fireball was shot out of his hands and flying toward me I raise one hand and a big water shield appears and destroys the fireball.

[you- how]: kirito

[do you know how much trouble you would get into for trying to fight your teacher? Anyone in the class know?]: riku

[sir it's known as an expulsion, are you going to file against Kirito?]: student 4

[goodness no I just want our buddy Kirito to know what he has done]: riku

[oh no... you can't be... no- im so sorry please forgive me]: kirito

[there is no need for an apology just stay awake in my class]: riku

As Kirito looks around he sees his classmates making progress in chantless magic and looks back at me.

As he was asking around everyone was ignoring him, I guess he's not liked much. Maybe I can help him get on the right path to magic and making friends.
