Chapter 46: Power Limiter

-Throne Room-

[my King, Lord Riku is back and brought Lord Sora as well]: guard

When the guard who lead us to the throne room came back he took us into the throne room and I had a small chat with the King.

[so, young Riku, how have you been for the last couple of months? And where is my dear Kiko?]: king

[Kiko is fine, I only came back for a bit to retrieve something I left here]: riku

[that's good to hear, now, how have you been Sora?]: king

I told him that we forgot something, in reality, I need to train Sora, if he knew it was training then he would wonder why he can't train where we were. Then if he knew where we had gone not only would he not believe us but would want to come as well.

As we leave the throne room we head to my room in the castle and grab some items that I left and head out to my old training field.

[ok Sora, this is where I trained my magic to be under my control. If we can't get your power under control then I will half to limit your powers]: riku

I set up 3 giant statues made from the hardest rock I could make by compressing earth and heating it and compressing even more.

[ok Sora, I want you to take your hand and put a magic sphere in the center of your palm]: riku

[ok dad, but isn't this like what we did when I was first learning magic?]: sora

[yes it is, but this time it is going to help you refine your magic, because you are my son and your mother and I are gods, it makes you one as well. So the control of your power is set at one level and then when your power grows the control is still only at that one level]: riku

Sora threw the ball of magic and when it hit the statue there was no control. The area around all 3 of the statues was now a great crater, it looked like a big meteor struck the ground.

[Sora, where was the control in that shot?]: riku

[sorry dad, I will try better next time]: sora

[fine, just suppress all the power then slowly release little bits of it]: riku

As I told Sora that, I started to fix the ground that was destroyed by using some low level earth magic. Then I resurrected the 3 statues again.

[now, control your magic, turn it into a fine strand and let it slowly pass through your body and gather into your hand]: riku

As Sora was doing just what I asked of him the magic power started to slowly gather and make a ball.

[I did it dad!]: sora

[not yet you didn't, now, fire it and control it to one area , don't let it get too much power, and don't lose concentration on that power]: riku

[I got this dad, watch me]: sora

As I see Sora ready himself I can see the magic power getting too big

{well this is not going to work as quick as I though}: riku

Then as I thought that it would destroy the 3 statutes when he let it go. He fixed it, as he released the power it flew to the middle statue like before and then destroyed the middle statue.

[I did it! I really did it dad!]: sora

[good job Sora, now onto the second test]: riku

After 2 long days of training, Sora finally trained his power to be under his control.

[dad, I did it!]: sora

[good job Sora, looking at you now I can see that all the overwhelming power that you hold is being contained inside your body and it flows like blood]: riku

[what does that mean dad?]: sora

[it means that you have put a limiter on yourself]: riku

[what? I didn't mean to do that, I wanted to get my power under control]: sora

[don't worry Sora, it isn't the kind of limiter you think it is]: riku

[well what kind of limiter is it then?]: sora

[Sora, channel your mana into your eyes, then look at me]: riku

As Sora looked at me I channeled my mana and then Sora passed out.
