Chapter 42: Market Problems

I was sent home 2 weeks after the battle with Sgt. Major. All we did during that time was train to use my magic, the whole time I slowly released my magic to make it look like there was progress in the training. The whole time I was able to destroy the whole world with the flick of my wrist.

[welcome back dad]: sora

[good to be back buddy, where is your mother]: riku

[she is just in the kitchen making me lunch]: sora

[ok, wait, how many times has she almost burned down the house?]: riku

[not since you left, she has been watching these things called cooking channels, and has gotten much better at using the stove]: sora

[and about the food situation?]: riku

[I taught mom to shop just like you had shown me]: sora

Then it hit me, I never told Kiko how to use the laundry machine.

[what about your clothing? How did you wash them?]: riku

[what do you mean how did we wash them? We did it the normal way]: sora

Thank god, our normal way is to wash them in water. It cleans most of the smell out of them but cleans all of the blood and dirt out of the clothes.

[did you use soap?]: riku

[what is soap?]: sora

[never mind, I just realized that there are lots of thing I haven't shown you guys how to use yet]: riku

I take Sora back inside and meet with Kiko in the kitchen making lunch for herself and Sora.

[hey, how have you been for this last month?]: kiko

[it was hard, because I couldn't come home to you]: riku

[oh how sweet, today I meet someone at the market who helped me put my food in the car]: kiko

[oh? Were they wearing a vest that everyone else wore in the store?]: riku

[yes, he was a very kind gentlemen, he helped me with all the heavy foods I bought today]: kiko

[it sound like he was doing a fine job helping the customers]: riku

[he also asked me if I had a boy, friend. I told him that I had many]: kiko

Oh no, I wonder what that man thinks of her now, I guess I should tell her what she had just said to him.

[the man looked at me and asked if he could come over and, Hang-Out, I didn't understand what he meant so I told him I had a husband and then he gave me a funny look]: kiko

[Kiko, that man was trying to make you his partner, that's what boyfriend means, and you told him you have many. Then when you told him you have a husband he thought that you were a town singer]: riku

[that little boy, how dare he, next time I see him I will make him apologize for mistaking me for a mere town singer]: kiko

[hun, if you do that you will make trouble for us, don't do anything, ok?]: riku

[but, if I don't do anything it will make me look bad]: kiko

[it's ok, I will go clear everything up with him, do you know what he looks like?]: riku

[oh, he gave me his number, here it is]: kiko

Kiko gave me a number written on the receipt of the groceries, looking at it makes me a bit mad at this man who had the balls to give his number to a woman who has said they have a husband.

[ok, I will be back in about an hour, I will go up to the market and look for this young man]: riku

[ok, hurry back ok, I will start dinner in about 2 hours]: kiko

[can I come dad?]: sora

[ok, and sure buddy let's go out for a bit]: riku

I take Sora and head to the store to find this guy and give him his number back and tell him that Kiko had a misunderstanding when talking to him, and not to talk her ever again.

Once we got to the market we went to the manager's office, when we knock on the door the manager opens up and greets us.

[can I help you?]: manager

[yes, we are looking for a Kijo, does someone with that name work here?]: riku

[yes, that would be me, can I help you with something?]: kijo

The man before me is a man in his late 30's, Kiko looks to be around 17 or 18 add almost 10 years and she is 27 or 28. But this guy was trying to hit on my wife, I then reply.

[oh, if your Kijo then you were the guy who had helped my wife with groceries earlier, am I correct?]: riku

[oh? That was your wife?]: kijo

[yes, and she happen to tell me that you asked her some out of ordinary questions, would you mind talking with me about them?]: riku

[sure, if you would could you come into my office?]: kijo

[yeah, that would be a better place to talk anyway]: riku

I enter Kijo's office with Sora in toe and stand in front of a couch facing Kijo's desk.

[please, have a seat]: kijo

Sora takes a seat on the couch but I remain standing, as I look at Sora sitting on the couch I remind myself that I should teach him on how to act within an enemy's territory, if Kijo decided to jump at us while we sit on the couch he would be hurt.

[so, what do you want to talk about?]: kijo

As I thought, he wants to keep things a secret until he could use it against me, he thinks that I only know that he was hitting on Kiko, but I know all of what happened. I decide to speak.

[earlier you helped my wife put groceries in the car, why?]: riku

[because it is a nice thing to do]: kijo

[well don't next time, stay away from Kiko and my family]: riku

[did you know your wife is cheating on you?]: kijo

[no she isn't, so please stay away from us]: riku

[yes, she told me herself]: kijo

[it was a misunderstanding, she told me all that happened, now goodbye, Come Sora, we need to get home]: riku

As we leave the office I turn around and see Kijo's face and it was just a face of stun, like he couldn't believe what I had said. But that doesn't matter, we head home to make it in time for dinner.
