TO KILL A CHEERLEADER.

CHAPTER ELEVEN.

DAVE

'Did you see how fast she ran?' Jacob asked excitedly.

Jacob, Stacey and I were walking to my house.

'I still think we should call the police,' Stacey said.

'And tell them what?' I asked angrily. 'That our friend crashed my car and she was covered in blood? And that she's planning to kill us and has super speed?'

'And you still haven't told us what you guys did to her,' I added to Jacob.

'I tell you guys everything. But Kelly and Zac also have to be there when I talk,' Jacob said.

'Finally,' Stacey said as we arrived at my house.

'Not really, we still have to check Dave's closet,' Jacob said.

I opened the door and we all walked inside.

        Jerrick came to us.

'Your friend came over. She said she left something in your room,' he said.

Somehow, Jerrick seemed different. There was something weird about him.

        I dismissed the thought.

'C'mon,' I said to Jacob and Stacey.

We all ran upstairs and into my room. I closed the door.

We all looked at the closet. The closet door was closed.

        What was in there?

'It's your house,' Jacob said. 'If she wanted us to open it she would have put it in our house.'

        I sighed.

I walked up to the closet.

I put my hand on the handle of the door.

I looked back to Stacey and Jacob. They were huddled together in a corner of the room.

I took a deep breath and pulled the door open.

I sighed with relief when nothing jumped out and attacked me. There was a brown box on the closet floor.

On the box was a piece of paper with a word written on it:

        SURPRISE!

I kneeled down and opened the box with one swift movement.

        I gasped in horror.

        'What's in there?' Stacey asked.

        I couldn't answer.

Chloe's head was in the box!

Jacob came up to me and looked into the box.

He gagged and moved backwards, causing him to trip and fall on the floor.

Chloe's eyes were closed, and her skin was pale. It looked as if all the blood had been taken out of her. Her skin was sticking to her skull.
