Ruby eyes and the healer

Chapter 17

SHEN POV

When I walked in, I saw Yunlan was about to run to me, but he froze when he saw my state. I could not look him in the eyes

"wei wei?" 

"my love, let me clean up"  and I walked passed him and went to take a shower. After the shower I went into the kitchen where Yunlan was heating up the dinner. He didn't say anything, guess he was waiting for me to explain. 

"lan lan.." he turned around and looked at me

"I found Ding and Zhuji" I could tell he was worried now

"and?" 

"I'm sorry, I couldn't control myself lan lan" 

"w..wh..what do you mean by that?" I looked down

"we fought, well more like I beat them pretty bad" 

"but...they...are..a..alive right?"  and just then I realized what he was truly afraid of

My love, you wouldn't be able to read my mind if I crossed the line my love

He let out a big sighed and he walked closer fast and hugged me tight

"I'm sorry, I was just scared wei wei" 

"I know my lan, I wont do anything that would make me lose you love" 

I nibbled on his neck, and whispered 

"lan lan my love, I need you" 

He just nodded and smiled, so I carried him towards our bedroom , while kissing him passionately. Clothes went off, and we toke our sweet time, don't think we have ever made love this slow and sweetly before. But tonight we just didn't want it to end. Then we fell asleep cuddling . 

When we woke up, and had eaten and all that. We decided to visit Mrs. Song, who was the wife of the driver who died during the explosion. 

I had expected her to hit me, even curse me out when she saw me, but instead she hugged me tight and invited us in. We gave our condolence. I felt so bad, she was now alone with a 2 year old girl and 1 year old boy while being 7 months pregnant.  I could not even look at her, Yunlan was already in tears and we all were quiet, but then she broke the silence 

"Mr.Shen, I hope you don't feel guilty for this" she said warmly towards me

"I do" I said in almost whisper, then she toke my hand

"My husband talked a lot about you, how great and kind you are, and to not believe any of the rumors, he wished for our son to grow up to be like you. The police also told me, by witness statements, you were willing to risk your life to try and save him, you were only few seconds away to  be gone with him, so you have nothing absolutely nothing to feel guilty about" 

I looked up, with tears almost forming 

"Mrs Song, If you ever need anything please let me know, I could hire someone to help you with the kids or something" 

She smiled and had a tear running down her cheek, Yunlan went by her side and was holding her hand soothing her,

"Mr.Shen  your lawyer was here not long ago, he already told me what you did, that you opened a savings account for each of the kids that they can access when they turn 18, and that you would personally pay a sum each year into it, so they would have a good start when they become adult.
