Chapter 9

No one's POV

After the little reunion, everyone sits on the sofa watching Aryan's antics and having tea.

Khushi (smiling) - Bauji, how did you start walking again?

Bauji (smiling) - This is all because of Payal... in 6 months she has started working with Akash in his business and while doing that she is also looking after your dhabba service...

Khushi (smiling) - I am glad that has become more independent... I wonder what she is doing right now?

The person at the door (emotional) - Looking at her younger sister from far as she is scared to talk to her...

Khushi immediately turns around and goes to hug her Jiji while her emotional Jiji hugs her back.

Payal (emotional) - I am so sorry Khushi... I couldn't see the pain behind your smile... I couldn't see the torture you were going through... you saw my pain... and my torture and you spoke up for me... but I never saw your pain... but I am glad... glad that at least Nanheji was with you... he saw your pain... and he helped you so much... You know what you should totally marry him... he deserves you...

Khushi (smiling) - It's fine Jiji... everyone makes mistakes and (confused) Nanheji is already married to Lavanyaji... why would I want to marry him? He is my best friend... and my partner in crime... I don't have feelings for him at all... the only person I ever liked was ... I hate him now anyway...

Payal (upset) - But I always saw love in his eyes for you... even on the day of the basketball match... he was staring at you throughout the game... and remember you fell while playing well he instantly got up wanting to support you but seeing ASR there he stopped... (smiling) oh well, I am glad you are back and that Nanheji has found his true love...

Khushi (smiling) - You look so different... wow... you aren't wearing any sarees anymore... instead of wearing such a beautiful orange dress... I am glad that the Raizadas are letting you wear all this...

Note: Khushi doesn't know that Payal has stopped living with the Raizadas while the Guptas didn't know about Nk and his marriage, they only know that she is living with Akshara & Naitik and that she is pretending to be their daughter.

Payal (feeling guilty) - Umm... Khushi, I should have told you this... Akash & I are on a rough patch right now... 6 months ago after you left... I also left the mansion and sent Akash the divorce papers... I can't bear to be living with a guy that can't stand up for me & my rights... he didn't sign the divorce papers and he came back for me and promised to give me my rights... but I told him that he doesn't deserve me...and stuff like that... but he didn't give up... after a month I gave up and I told him that he has to prove to me... we are currently living together... just us... mami & mama living in RM as they need to look after their glass doll... & and also because Akash & I are living in a small house and his poor mother is not ready to leave her luxurious life for her son... I work with him in AR but we have a professional relationship there... where he is my boss and that's all... at home, he tries to earn my forgiveness by pampering me... or doing things to impress me...

Khushi (shocked) - Why can't you live in Raizada mansion?

Payal (annoyed) - Why would I go to a place where my sister was insulted? Why would I go to the place where no daughters-in-law get respect? And finally, why would I go to the place where my sister's position was given to someone else just because she claims to have a son with my sister's husband? You know Khushi... I have a strong doubt that Aarav isn't ASR's son at all...

Khushi (teary-eyed) - You love me a lot Jiji... (hugs her)... and Jiji Aarav isn't ASR's son, in fact, he is an orphan...

Payal (shocked) - How do you know all this?

Khushi (smirking) - Sheetal may think I am dumb but I am not that dumb... I did the DNA test at 2 different places... one place which Sheetal knew about it and the other, which Nanheji knew about... and the test clearly showed that Aarav wasn't that guy's son... I even heard Sheetal's conversation with someone talking about how Aarav is in safe hands and how she is taking care of him... she even thanked them for letting her adopt Aarav... I was going to tell my ex-husband but he saw the fake reports... and got angry... I still kept strong and I was going to tell him after the basketball match but seeing him so close to Sheetal... and seeing his care for Sheetal & Aarav... I stopped... why was it that he didn't show so much care to me? I mean, I made one tiny mistake... and that gave him the reason to ignore me and treat me as if I am a toy... well, at least I didn't force him to marry me for 6 months... I didn't manhandle him... I forgave him for that and yet he didn't forgive me for making a tiny mistake... after going to Australia I realised that I was not at all at fault for doing the blood test... I realised that he just took me for granted.

Payal (upset) - But why don't you try an expose her? I mean you are still legally ASR's wife and his marriage with Sheetal is illegal...

Khushi (smirking) - Why would I want to expose her? Let her destroy the Raizadas... I no longer care about them...

Payal (upset) - Come on Khushi... I know that they tortured us... and disrespected us... but don't you think you should teach that Sheetal a lesson?

Khushi (smirking) - Oh Jiji, let's stop talking about those Raizadas for a while and tell me more about your business...

Khushi's POV

I will take my revenge Jiji but will do it when the time is right... I will not only torture Sheetal but I will torture each and every Raizadas for hurting you, Jiji and me.
