My idiot of a bird brought me my uniform for the mission tanjiro received. My job was to just tag along.

" just don't be stupid again.."

I glared at my bird and threw my shoe at him while he flew away.

I went into the spare room to change and looked at the haori I used during the final selection.
Last time I let the old man keep it...but I'll take it this time..
I threw that on over my uniform and walked out.
There I saw Tanjiro and sakonji on the floor.

" what'd I miss?"

I said walking in.
Tanjiro looked up and said.

" oh nothing. Mr. urokodaki was just explaining a few things about my uniform and sword. he also gave me this."

Tanjiro stood up showing me a box.

" it's extremely light..he made this so I can carry Nezuko in.."

Tanjiro had a huge smile.
It was cute.
Like a child that got his favorite thing for Christmas.
I patted tanjiro shoulder and walked in to talk to Sakonji.

" that's nice...now old man...I'm gonna be taking this back.."

I said lifting my haori.

I sat next to Sakonji and watched as tanjiro went to put Nezuko into the box.

" so what's your plan."

Sakonji said.

" not sure..I'm going back to master. If that's what your wondering... I'm a hashira. Always will be...buuuut I'm not ready yet to go back...I have a feeling Tanjiro will cross paths with them sooner or later...so until then.. I plan on taking things relatively easy."

I said crossing my arms enjoying the semi cold breeze from outside.

The next morning came quicker then I thought.

" we'll be going now.."

He laughed and hugged me.

I pulled away and sakonji pressed two of his fingers where his mouth would be on his mask and poked my forehead.

He just shrugged his shoulders and hummed.
I rolled my eyes and walked with tanjiro.
He stopped to wave one more time and I did as well.
