The sunlight warming my face wakes me lightly as the new day begins.
I sigh and roll onto my side, smirking as I find myself face to face with the impressive barricade of unmoved pillows in all their fabric glory.
I try and decide whether to sit up or whether to move the pillows to see if Oliver is awake but part of me feels awkward.
How can I face him after last night?
I made such an idiot out of myself. Now that my nightmare is completely out of my system I feel my cheeks heat as I realise that I shared a bed with Oliver.
I basically manipulated Oliver into breaking his professionalism by being so emotional.
I begin fidgeting as my anxiety makes me feel worse, knowing that I can't afford to slip again I take a deep breath and sit up quickly, shifting the bed and without hesitating I rotate my body to peer over the pillows.
Only to find the space empty.
My hands run over the neatly tucked in blue blanket and I shove my pillows to the floor.
My blush only darkens as I realise that this is what it must feel like to those that have one night stands.
Ignoring the fact that nothing happened between us it is still insulting to the point it burns and I can't seem to figure out why.I remain enveloped under the blankets pouting slightly for only a few more minutes before my bedroom door is lightly kicked open.
My eyes dart up, my face rearranging for Flynn however as they scan the body before me I find my surprise and unstoppable joy light my features as Oliver shuffles in with his back to me, holding a tray of sorts.
Taking a deep breath I straighten and smooth out the sheets around me before dulling my ecstatic expression to a simple light smile just as he spins around.
"Morning!" Oliver announces and his eyes twinkle as mine take in his morning appearance.
He's wearing his now crinkled button down shirt that I realise he must have slept in and long black pants from yesterday.
Oliver's hair looks as soft as silk as it messily hangs over his bright blue eyes in waves and I giggle as he attempts to blow a strand out of his sight.Peeking down I spy his socks which I'm surprised to find are a bright Spongebob pair and now a snort escapes me as I take in his goofy and unexpected footwear.
"What? Socks should always be the most expressive piece of clothing!" Oliver exclaims as I continue breathlessly laughing and I can't help but nod in agreement as he makes his way over to my side.
"Good morning." I manage to gasp out as my laughter finally begins to subside, still grinning up at Oliver like an idiot I notice he falters for a moment as we lock eyes before placing the tray on my lap.
Looking down I'm surprised to find a neat bowl of cereal and two slices of toast on the side with strawberry jam. My mouth instantly begins watering but I'm also conscious of the fact that I don't usually eat breakfast, how on earth am I going to get through all this?
"I was going to give you the choice between the two cereals but it seems as though Flynn has managed to consume the entire other brand within twenty-four hours" Oliver begins explaining and I glance back up to find him fiddling with his hands.
Is Oliver nervous?
"I was also going to put some fruit on there as well but I wasn't sure what kind you liked and I didn't want to make you feel forced to eat something you didn't like so-"
