"Now I want you to remove every item from your belt Kitty." Rosik instructs and I swallow my suddenly dry throat and blink back my tears as he releases me.

I have to accept this, I sternly tell myself.

I have the responsibility of caring for Dana again and this time I won't be letting her down.

Keeping one hand raised I start unclicking each of my items and my stomach drops lower and lower in fear. I feel as though I'm willingly stripping in front of Rosik as his greedy eyes take in every subtle movement I make and I shiver.

I feel so vulnerable.

After each of my items are dropped to the floor I watch with widened eyes as Rosik begins to open his door.

Every fibre of my body is telling me to either slam his door shut or run but all I can allow myself is a few steps backwards to avoid the door, my fists now clenched.

"Relax Kitty.." Rosik urges and I would have scoffed if it wasn't for the flash of warning in his eyes.

So reluctantly I loosen my fists and bite my tongue as Rosik takes the few large steps towards me, picking up the cuffs as he goes along.

As he reaches his hands out to grasp onto my arms I skip backwards and hold my hands up in a surrendering motion.
I hate that all of my senses are screaming right now and that I can't do a single thing to quiet my nerves.

"I can put them on myself!" I call out my voice begging weakly as his humongous form blocks out the sun and while I refuse to glance up at his horrid face I can tell that he's smirking...

"No Kitty I insist.. I have a feeling I'm going to enjoy it. A lot." His slimy words cause my urge to pull away even stronger as my hands involuntarily clench into fists once more.

My eyes sadly rest on the last place I saw my partner and the skid marks in the gravel look like open wounds on the earth, any minute I expect them to start splurging out innocent blood.
The blood that didn't need to be spilt today, the life that shouldn't have been taken away.

Screaming around the street another cruiser suddenly speeds into view, lights flashing and brakes in the exact same position as my old cruiser.

I hear Rosik mumble something in Russian beside me while I remember that base was tracking our earlier pursuit.

Two officers that I don't recognise step out of the vehicle and Rosik doesn't hesitate to step back into the car, only his arm poking out with the gun aiming at the officers.

They are both male and even from here I can sense their confidence as they lazily take out their guns and point them in our direction.

I want to scold them for taking their weapons out so slowly when they have a weapon already pointing at them but I realise with a coldness spreading through me that their weapons aren't just pointed at Rosik.

They are also aimed at me.

"You are both under arrest!"
The officers call out deeply and confusion clogs my senses as their words wash over me.

My hands naturally twitching towards my empty belt at the sense of a new threat.

What have I done wrong?

"It's not what you think!" I call out but they ignore me as their gazes take in all the details of the scene including the tyre markings on the road and the broken gate, the scene unfortunately obvious.

They murmur to each other and as one officer attempts to back away to the radio in his cruiser I call out.
Mainly because I know the moment Rosik sees a weakness he will shoot first.
