Tears trickle down her face,
Her jaw is clenched,
Her hands in fists, her nails digging into her skin,
The lump in her throat making it hard for her to breathe. Her eyes shut,
Hoping to drown out reality.
Her eyes shut,
Dreading to face her life.
Her eyes shut,
Then they open,
Hopelessness and fear and pain hidden behind her emotionless expression. Her tears lose themselves with the drops of rain,
Dropping from the sky,
Hitting her head,
Drenching her hair and clothes,
Running down her smooth skin.Thunder rumbles in the distance,
Shooing the crows afar.
She just stands there,
Her chest rising and falling quickly,
Trying to keep up with her racing heart,
Her lungs ache,
begging for air.Exasperation grows within her,
Fear grabbing her,
Pulling her under.
Anger drowns her,
Loneliness pushes her down further. She hold on and on,
Fighting against the wave of agony,
Fighting for breath,
As she looses grasp.
