The warmth of the sun trickling through the blinds woke Jack up. He groaned kicking the last remnants of the blanket that clung to his legs and rolled out of bed. Jack grimaced at the wrinkled shirt that he's been wearing since yesterday and discarded it to the floor. The door to Alex's room was open in the hallway and Jack could hear the crunching of cereal from the kitchen.

Upon entering the kitchen Jack paused, there, he found Alex drinking coffee out of a bowl, completely naked.
Jack rubbed his sleepy eyes, "Dude, why the fuck aren't you wearing clothes?" He said exasperated.
Alex simply shrugged and said, "I was cold."

Shaking his head in disbelief, Jack reluctantly walked closer, averting his eyes anywhere but below. "Maybe that's because you aren't wearing clothes?" Jack could feel the prickle of the cold air on his bare chest, now wasn't the time to feel self-conscious. Alex and Jack had their moments of having a minimal amount of clothing on, it was normal. It didn't feel weird, it shouldn't feel weird. Jack ignored the prickle in his throat.

Alex's tired eyes stared into the bowl of coffee in his hands and shrugged again. "Shut up, please? I have a hangover or something." He took a sip from his bowl of coffee.
Jack frowned at the coffee mug that was sitting on the table next to the bowl. It was full of cereal. "I think you messed up your breakfast a little."

Alex looked into Jack's eyes for an uncomfortably long time, then shrugged. Jack shook off the weird weight Alex's eyes gave him and sighed. "You realize you were gone for two days, right?"
Alex rolled his eyes and took another sip of his coffee. "Whatever dude. You're not my mom, so why do you even care?"
"Uh, because I'm your roommate and I used to be your best friend, but hey whatever. I guess that's not a good enough of a reason to be concerned when my friend goes missing for a few days after acting weird for a while."

Jack sighed and pulled the orange juice out of the fridge before pouring himself a glass. "Where even were you?"
"It's not important," Alex said, standing up from his seat at the kitchen table. He placed the now empty bowl in the sink and frowned at the mug of half eaten cereal. He dumped the remainder of the cereal in the trash before placing the mug in the sink. "I'm going out tonight."
"Um, no you're not."
"What are you, my mother? I'm going out, dude."

Jack glared at his friend. He was about to say something when Alex walked out of the kitchen in the direction of his room. "Where the fuck do you think you're going?" Jack followed Alex out of the kitchen and down the hallway. "Dude, you can't keep doing this to yourself. It's not hea-... lthy?" Jack paused in confusion as he saw Alex's legs wobble. He stumbled a bit, but caught himself on the wall before he could fall over. Alex's hand hovered over his stomach. His breath was coming out in short wheezes and his nose wrinkled in pain.

Jack reached his hand to Alex's shoulder in concern, "Alex, hey, are you okay?"
"Fuck off," Was all Alex said in response as he shuffled away from Jack's hand. His voice sounded strained. Alex tried to take a step towards his room, but his body shuttered and he hunched over retching on the floor. Alex's hand trembled and he made a pathetic noise in the back of his throat.

"Ah, dude! That's nasty! And the bathroom's right there too! Now I've got to clean this up." Jack looked at the vomit on the floor and then back at Alex who was groaning. "Come on, man. This isn't healthy. And you still want to go out drinking tonight? Are you insane?"
"I'm fine... J-just leave me alone." Alex's voice sounded nasally and rough.
Jack shook his head. "I'll go get you some water or something. Please, try not to puke on the floor, again."

Jack walked quickly to the kitchen and grabbed a glass of water for his idiot roommate. As he walked back to where Alex had been, he found the hallway empty. He frowned and looked around for his friend only to find him in the bathroom, vomiting into the toilet.

Jack sighed and placed the glass of water next to the sink. Alex quickly flushed the toilet and wiped his face. Jack got a glimpse of reddish color, but didn't think much of it.

"I'm fine," Alex stated, not looking at Jack.
"Right, yeah because puking on the floor is fine," Jack said, his voice dripping in sarcasm.
"I'm just hungover."
"Must be some damn hangover to not even be able to walk properly."
"I can walk," Alex tried to protest.
"Whatever man."

They sat in the bathroom quietly for a moment before Alex moved to climb into the bathtub. Jack gave him a strange look. "What are you doing?" he asked.
"I live here now." Alex curled up in the bathtub and closed his eyes, seemingly trying to take a nap.
Jack shook his head with a sigh. "Alright well... Do you want any snacks or anything?" Alex seemed to think for a moment before responding with a simple "No." Jack shrugged and walked out of the bathroom. He searched the house for the baby monitor he had borrowed from his brother when Jack had been in charge of watching his nephew for a couple days a few weeks earlier. He probably should've returned it, but now it was helpful. He also grabbed a few blankets and pillows before walking back to the bathroom.

Jack dropped the blankets and pillows on top of Alex and then set the baby monitor on the bathroom counter. "I'm going to call Rian and see if he can get us some stuff from the store. You want anything specific?" Alex climbed out from under the pile of blankets and shook his head. "I'll be right back."

Jack walked out of the bathroom and called his friend, Rian.

"Hey, Jack. What's up?"
"Hey, Rian. Alex is sick, do you think you could go to the store and get a couple things? I'd go myself, but last time I left Alex alone for too long I found him drinking coffee out of a bowl while completely naked."
"What do you mean he's sick? Wasn't he just out partying the other day?"
"How the fuck did you know that?" Jack asked with a frown.
"I was with him. Didn't he tell you?"
"RIAN HE'S BEEN MISSING FOR TWO DAYS!" Jack yelled into the phone.
"Really?"
"RIAN! DID YOU SEE WHERE HE WENT!? WHERE DID HE GO!? I THINK HE HAD SOME KINKY SEX, DO YOU KNOW WHO ELSE HE WAS WITH!? I WAS JUST TALKING TO YOU YESTERDAY ABOUT HOW HE DIDN'T COME BACK WHY DIDN'T YOU TELL ME!?"

Jack heard Alex say something along the lines of "What the hell, Jack" from the other room. He ignored him.

"Uh... I think he was with Brendon a lot. Maybe they did some stuff."
"Urie?"
"Yeah. But isn't he dating Ryan? Not me, the other Ryan."
"I don't know. That guy seems like he's into the kinky shit though. It would make sense. It was probably a drunken one night stand type thing. But why didn't you tell me you were with Alex when I called yesterday?"
"Huh? Oh. I dunno."
"You fucker. You weren't listening to anything I was saying were you?"
"Nah."
"Bitch... So was he acting weird at all before he got super fucking drunk?"
"How'd you know he got super fucking drunk?"
"He's super fucking hungover. He's sleeping in the bathtub and claimed the bathroom as his home. He drank coffee from a bowl- whatever that's not important. Was he acting weird?"
"Weird how?"
"Well we haven't spoken in a week because he's been drinking so much so I don't know."
"I mean he was kinda quiet-ish. I don't know. I was pretty drunk too if I'm being honest."
"Fuck. Okay. Um.... I'll text you a list of stuff we might need."
"Yeah okay. I'll see you later then."
"See ya."

Jack hung up the phone and walked back to the bathroom. The door was closed. Jack frowned. He hadn't closed it when he left, maybe Alex did? Jack shook his head and knocked on the door. "Hey, Lex, Rian's gonna be here later, do you want me to get you some clothes so you're not completely naked when he shows up?"
He got no answer.
"Alex?" Jack tried to open the door but it was locked. "Alex?"
