Best thing I've come across to clean said stains? Hydrogen Peroxide!! It reacts with cells and they break down. Works on cutsand period stains.
How to use it? for small stains (roughly the size of a quarter or two), applying it directly isn't too terrible. Let it sit for 5-10 seconds and scrub it off. Repeat as necessary (deeper stains will need a few more times than a lighter one. Don't let the hydrogen peroxide sit for too long because it'll become a bit harder to scrub off)
I use about 2 tablespoons peroxide to a quart of water and some soap(a few drops) for my disasterously stained panties and then make sure to wash them with some oxi-clean afterwards
