I was once hanging out with a guy friend and was undergoing period cramping and I said, "I'm so much pain it's like the lining of my uterus is being scraped off and disposed of in a heap of blood" and he actually said to me, "God that sounds painful. Let's hope that never happens to anyone, lol". I stared at him for ten minutes until he understood.
