As amazing as this year has been, all good things come to an end. Unfortunately, this was the case.
I've found out so much about myself and learned so many new things, thanks to the people I now know.
I was currently in the Great hall for the leavers' feast to take place. I was sat over at the Gryffindor table surrounded by my favourite people until I noticed that someone or something was missing.
I soon realised it was Harry.
I heard the news about what happened to Sirius while on their mission to save him and was devastated for him. I can't possibly imagine the pain he's going through right now, knowing that the only person left for Harry was taken away from him just like that. Harry was left alone once again, but was he?
I set down my cutlery from eating and looked around the hall and other tables to see if I could spot him anywhere.
'Not at the Hufflepuff table...
Not at the Ravenclaw table either'...
I continued to look around some more.It was obvious that he wouldn't be over at the Slytherin table, but It was worth a check anyhow.
Without making it obvious, I had a glance over at the table. Having no luck in finding a raven-haired boy, I somehow caught the eyes of Draco Malfoy instead.
I wasn't sure why, but something about the way he was staring at me made me feel strange. For once he wasn't sending me glares, or showing that irritable smirk of his. None of that. He was smiling! It wasn't one of his fake smiles either, it was a genuine warm smile.
I realised that I had been staring at him for too long and decided to return the gesture by smiling back and turning back round to face my table.
George noticed that my mind was somewhere else and spoke to me.
"Everything alright, Love?" He asked.
I snapped out of my trance and looked over to my boyfriend, giving him a loving smile.
"Yeah. Everything's fine." I replied.
I didn't exactly tell him the truth, but he just shrugged it off as well and continued goofing around with his brother.
I giggled while watching the two balance their cutlery on their noses, but failed miserably when the metal would crash down onto the table causing it to echo throughout the hall. I flinched at the sound and looked around the other tables to see if anyone else had noticed their childish behaviour.
No one seemed to have been bothered by their actions as they were all too engaging in their conversations.
I glanced around the Ravenclaw table and noticed that Luna was nowhere to be seen.
'Not you as well Luna' I thought.
At first, I was confused, however, I did remember her mentioning something about finding her stolen belongings and seeing as it's the last night at Hogwarts, she needed to find them ASAP.
I did offer to help her, but she insisted I stayed and ate with George as I wouldn't see him in a long time after tonight. Or so I thought.
'Hopefully, Luna will be back for pudding' I smiled to myself knowingly. Luna loved pudding and wouldn't miss it for the world. I continued to stuff my face with as much food as possible while listening to Ron and Mione's bickering.
Boy how I was going to miss this kind of food during the summer break.
~ Luna's pov
I was going around the castle of Hogwarts to hang up some flyers showing that all my possessions have been stolen from me until I heard the voice of someone behind me.
"How come you're not at the feast?" The voice asked.
I turned around and was met with Harry's gaze.
"Lost all of my possessions, apparently people have been hiding them," I explained to him while pointing back at the piece of paper I posted up onto the wall just moments ago.
"That's awful," Harry replied with sympathy.
"Oh it's all good fun, but as this is the last night I do need them back," I admitted turning my body to face the wall as I hung up another bit of paper on the cold surface.
"Do you want any help finding them?"
Harry asked, doing anything he can to be polite in this time, but as I know of. He already has enough on his mind to be helping me out with my problems.I looked up at Harry and slowly nodded my head 'no' offering a warm smile.
"I'm sorry about your Godfather Harry," I spoke, reaching out to hold Harry's hand sympathetically.
It took a moment for Harry to reply to me, but all that seemed to come out from him was "You sure you don't want help looking?"
I nod my head 'no' again.
"That's alright. Anyway, my mum always said things we lose have a way of coming back to us in the end." I spoke. As I finished my sentence I began to look away from Harry to look up at the ceiling as I spotted a pair of my shoes hanging there, tied together.
"If not always the way we expect." I finished staring up at my hanging shoes.
"Think I'll just go have some pudding," I said before skipping off towards the Great hall for what I've been dying for all-day ...Pudding!
~ Readers pov
The feast was almost over and all that was left was some pudding. After That, curfew would be announced.
As the desserts appeared on the table I grabbed a slice of strawberry sponge cake with cream and started eating away at it.
George looked at me and chuckled making my brows furrow at him.
"What? Do I have something on my face?" I asked making him smirk at me.
"Yeah." He snorts, pointing to my lips.
"Right there." He said as he proceeded to lean in and lick the bottom of my lip and peck them, leaving me gobsmacked.
"Did you just lick my lip in front of the whole hall, George Weasley?!?" I exclaimed in shock.
"No..." he said as a devilish smirk spread along his lips and his eyes sparkled with mischief.
"I'll get you back for that, Weasley." I laughed and continued to eat my sponge cake carefully.
