Slughorn's Christmas party is held today and I was attending the party by myself. Lucky for me, Hermione and Ginny are also attending without dates, so I decided to ask if they'd like to go together as friends.

"Cormac?! Out of all the boys in this school...you chose to go with Cormac?!" I exclaim while staring at Mione as if she'd gone mad.

She frowns with regret written on her face.

"I know, but It's not what you think. I thought going with him would make Ron miserable." She sighed.

"I guess that makes sense," I reply.

"You know we could have gone as friends though," I said, placing my head in the palm of my hand watching as the realisation hit her

"Oh my god, Why didn't I think of that!" She exclaimed looking at me with stupidity. I shrugged.

"And you're supposed to be smart," I poked fun but purse my lips.

"Not helping," I could hear her mumble from under her arms.

"Sorry," I say.

I spot Harry ahead of me with his date although the closer I got to them, I realised who she was.

"Luna?" I call.

"Oh. Hello, Y/n." She casually greets.

I turned to Harry and arched a brow at him. He gulps down nervously and scratched the back of his neck.

"I-I don't have a date you see and-" He stutters, but I raise my hand to stop him.

"I'm not mad," I say, but furrowed my brows, giving him a stern look.

"You better take care of her though. I won't be having no funny business tonight, Yeah?" I said making his face turn redder than Ron's hair. God, I was beginning to sound like his mother.

He shook his head vigorously, swallowing nervously again.

"Good." I smile innocently.

"Byee, Have fun~" I sang skipping down the hall to the party.

The party was crowded and everyone looked like they were enjoying themselves so far. In all honestly, I would have found myself enjoying this party much more if George was here.

I looked around to see if I could spot Hermione and see that she was trying to escape Cormac by hiding behind the curtains.

All night she had been doing this. It was like a mission to stay as far away from him as possible. I guess Cormac is hard to be around. To be honest, he ain't even that attractive, to begin with.
