Today was Quidditch practice. I and Hermione were sat up in the stalls looking down on all the players that showed up for tryouts today. Ron is one of them.

Me and Mione spot someone walking over to him, but couldn't tell what was being said due to being up so high.

I heard Hermione sigh and told myself to look back at her.

"Everything alright, Mione?" I asked while tilting my head to the side.

"Yes, sort of." She replies.

"Sort of?" I repeated.

"Well see that boy down there, next to Ron." She pointed out.

"Aye."

"I'm under the impression that he sort of likes me, but in no way do I return the feelings." She explained.

"Oh, I know that." I winked making her look away, flustered.

"I'm also worried about Ron playing today." She admitted.

"There's nothing wrong with that. I remember being the same way with George back when he played Quidditch." I replied.

"I know but this is different. Ron rarely plays it!" She exclaimed.

"Well knowing we are here to support him should be enough to keep him motivated."  I tried reassuring her.

"Let's hope your right." She said as the game began.

Ron and Cormac flew at each end of the pitch as they were trying out as the keepers for this game.

Ginny was already killing it out there.

"Woohoo!" I cheered her on as she was about to score but then Cormac had to ruin it of course by showing off. Gadz.

Throughout the match, Ron was surprisingly doing alright. At one point though, he nearly fell off his broom-making all of us help out by rooting for him.

I could now see bright as broad daylight that the boy Hermione was talking about (Cormac) was trying to deliberately show off. As someone was about to score, Mione whispered a spell under her breath causing him to suddenly get shoved over to the side allowing the ball to score freely.

Cormac looked clueless as to what had just happened.

"Good one," I whispered up to her as she smiled back down shyly.

I was invited to dinner by Professor Slughorn, along with Harry, Hermione and a few others. I believe Ginny would be there also.

I didn't think of this as a major event so wore something plain and simple.

I walked to Professor Slughorn's room and was immediately greeted by the man himself

I walked to Professor Slughorn's room and was immediately greeted by the man himself.

"Y/n my dear, right this way." He pointed over to the large circular table where Hermione was already sitting.

I took the seat next to her and Neville took the seat on my other side.

I looked over the table to see that same dude, Cormac, smirking over at Mione with praying eyes and intensely staring over at him. He met with my gaze and gulped before removing his gaze elsewhere.

"Men." I scoffed under my breath.

"I hear you," Mione said before spotting Harry standing at the door.

"So tell me Cormac, do you see anything of your uncle Tiberius these days?" Professor Slughorn asks while eating.

"Yes sir, in fact, I'm meant to go hunting with him and the minister of magic over the holidays." He responds proudly.

"Oh well, be sure to give them both my best. What about your uncle Belby. Those of you who don't know Marcuse's uncle invented the wolfsbane potion. Is he working on anything New?" Slughorn explained.

A boy stuffing his face in the corner answered the professor through chewing. The sight was unpleasant.

'That's ought to put you off your food.' I thought while listening to Mione answering one of the professors many questions.

"My parents are dentists," Hermione said making everyone around the table look at her strangely.

"What? Yous never heard of a dentist before?" I spoke up, making some around the table nod their head 'no'

"They attend to peoples teeth." Hermione chirped up beside me.

"Fascinating and is that considered a dangerous profession?" Slughorn asked, being extremely intrigued.

"No." Hermione began.

"Although one boy, Robbie Fenwick,  did bite my father once. He needed 10 stitches." Hermione laughed following no one else but me.

"Where's your sense of humour? Geez." I whispered to myself while glancing around the table, glaring at those who didn't laugh.

"So Y/n, tell me a bit about you," Slughorn asked while chewing into his food.

"There isn't much to say, sir, other than I am a Lovegood. Well unless you count the years I lived with my adopted muggle dad and sisters." I said while stuffing my face with mashed potato.

"Really? And how was it living with muggles?" He asked.

"Normal." I shrugged.

"Although my adopted dad did become ill so I took on a role to care for him and my sister's." I finished.

"That explains the caring nature about you then, Y/n." He smiled over to me.

"Thank you, sir," I said while tucking away a strand of loose hair behind my ear shyly.

The door swung open again to show  Ginny in a lovely dress.

"Ah, Miss Weasley come in." Professor Slughorn greeted out the ginger.

"Look at her eyes. They've been fighting again guarantee. She and Dean." Hermione said to me and Harry.

"Bless her," I said, watching her walk over to us all sitting around the table.

"Sorry, I'm not usually late." Ginny apologised. Harry suddenly stood up for no apparent reason.

"What're you doing you weirdo," I whispered yelled to him.

"No matter, just in time for dessert that is if Elvis left you any." The professor laughed awkwardly.

Harry sat back down and both me and Mione stared at the raven-haired boy knowingly.

"What?"

"Nothing." I and Mione said while giving a knowing stare at each other.

Cormac began staring at us (mostly mione) again, making me see how uncomfortable she was becoming.

I set aside my cutlery while looking over at him.

"Keep it in your pants, Cognac," I said making him close his mouth and straighten up his posture in embarrassment.

"Thank you." I huffed.

'Some boy'
