Several days had passed since Changbin's attempted suicide, and Jeongin and Chan's relationship had only grown. Jeongin had finally become comfortable with the little gestures Chan would do whenever he was around, like the quick hugs and kisses on the head. If anything, Jeongin had grown to like them.

It had been a few weeks since Jeongin's arrival at the psychiatry, and he was finally beginning to eat more and gain small amounts of weight. Chan was a huge help throughout the whole process, encouraging Jeongin whenever he ate a full meal, praising him for the work he was putting into get better. Jeongin was only 20 pounds away from being able to leave, and the nurses estimated he would only remain in the psychiatry for another month at most.

However, not everything was all sunshine and rainbows. Woojin, Felix, and Chan had been marked to leave, as their conditions had gotten better. Changbin would also be allowed to leave once he awoke, since there was nothing much that they could do for him. Every nurse agreed that he acted better around Felix anyway, so leaving him here without Felix would just make everything worse.

Woojin and Felix had announced their leave, which had given the group of friend's extra time to hang around one another. Chan, on the other hand, had told everyone except Jeongin. He was scared of Jeongin's reaction. Chan knew that he had been a major part in Jeongin's recovery, and he had tried to bribe the nurses to let Jeongin come with him, but they had refused on orders from Jeongin's mother. They said Jeongin wasn't allowed to leave until he had reached the weight goal set for him.

As a result, Chan would avoid the topic whenever it was brought up.

So, when Chan disappeared along with Woojin and Felix in the middle of the night, it sent Jeongin into hysterics. He wouldn't leave his room, not for meals, or to talk with his friends, he would just lay on his bed, sobbing, while his friends brought him in trays with the meals of the day on them. He wouldn't touch the food, so it sat stacked on his bedside table, rotting away. None of his friends knew how to help him, or what to do to see his bright smile again.
