A pregnant silence fell over the table as they all took in the news. Each of them would glance over at Jeongin, only to see his eyes vacant, staring at his half-empty plate.
"That can't be right. He needs to come back. I need him Woojin! Bring him back!" Jeongin was frantic, screaming at Woojin and gripping Changbin's shirt like a lifeline. Woojin winced as he took in Jeongin's words. He knew he had messed up, but he never thought Chan would ever be able to leave Jeongin, so he had felt no need to hold back. He now deeply regretted that decision, and he was already trying to think of a way he could get Chan to come back.
"Jeongin, I'm so so sorry, truly I am. I am going to try my hardest to get him back, but I can't guarantee I'll be able to." Woojin stood up and bowed slightly to everyone on the table before smiling weakly and walking away.
Jeongin continued to sob loudly, and nobody at the table could comfort him. They all knew only peron who could properly make him feel better was Chan, but Chan had left so unexpectedly that none of them new if he was ever going to come back.
For Jeongin's sake, they all hoped so.
Once it grew dark, all of the visitors were sent home, and Jeongin was once again left in his room by himself. Recently, Jisung had been staying in Minho's room, since Minho had been going through a lot with his depression, so Jeongin was alone. He had been told that he could stay in someone else's room, but he didn't want to be a burden any more than he already was. He never ended up finishing his meal, and had only eaten a small bit of what was given to him for dinner. Jeongin felt fatter than ever, and it took all of the willpower in his body to not go throw everything back up. He still believed Chan would come back to him, so he wanted to make him proud, even if it meant serious discomfort.
After all, Chan would come back, wouldn't he?
