Chapter Two
~Captured~

1996,
All your focus drained out of your body since you had Maths that day at school.
Now you were in English, your face squished up in your palm and your eyelids heavier than your hefty back.

Suddenly, your head flicked up and your back straightened. Your focus came back, but not to where it was supposed to go.

"Oh no".

It was Thor. You've never seen him so confused before as he was walking back and fourth past your classroom.

Before you could even sink down into your chair to hide yourself, he barged into the room, almost breaking the classroom's door off it's hinges.

"Lady Y/N, you must come with me".

"Beg your pardon?"

You said, not with attitude, but with confusion.

"Come, there is no time to waste. Father awaits us".

"Sorry to interrupt, but you are disrupting my class. So maybe if you two could sort this out someplace else , that would be great".

Thor turned his attention to your teacher.
You were so embarrassed and had no idea what to do! A strange looking man with an accent is coming to collect you from class!

"Of course, of course. Y/N, come with me".

Covering your face with your school books, you followed Thor out of the classroom, lipping sorry to your teacher, who was clearly confused with this.

"Carry on!"

Thor just had to declare something before exiting the room.

••

"We think it's best you stay here with us".

"What".

You weren't too impressed with this.
He's always mentioned that you shouldn't be among such different beings who aren't familiar with this sort of magic.

"There are potential threats on Earth".

Stated Odin.

"And why do you think that?"

"There are greedy man on your planet. They want what you have because they don't have it. Your rareness, it holds a strong energy that secret organisations on your planet would seek".

"Would. See, that's the key word there. Would".

You shrugged your shoulders.

"Y/N, this is something I'm trying to warn you about".

"But I've been like this for three years now. So why would something happen now? I mean, I keep it a secret, I swear I haven't told anyone".

Odin exhaled through his nose deeply, sighing as messaging the side of his head.

"Y/N, do you realise how powerful the source and energy that flow through your veins are?"

You stated at him blankly, wide eyes and relaxed posture.

"Look at her, you're trying to warn her about potential threats and she's not even alerted in anyway".

Loki commented, rolling his eyes through this whole conversation.

"Hush Loki!"

Snapped Odin.

"What can I do about it? I'm not a fighter and I can't even use this power you keep saying I have. All I've got is a steel-hard back and claws".

You began to get frustrated. For years, Odin's been saying how powerful you are. But since you're the only who has absorbed a star's core, no one knows what you're capable of.
It's a bit annoying, actually.

"That is why I advise you to stay with us, Y/N. There is more to it. We just know it. The more we can learn about you, the more we can help".

"I can't get help!"

You couldn't help but raise your voice. You knew your place in the Kingdom, and that Odin had all the authority there is in Asgard. But that's not how things are on Earth.

"How could you help me with this, huh? The claws are keeping my body from literally falling apart. Can't I just live my life like an ordinary girl? Besides, I'll be fine anyway".

••

That night, you lay in your bed.
It was the middle of the night and you just couldn't stop thinking about the conversation with Odin.

He sent you away, following your wishes to be returned to home.
As far as you knew, you wouldn't hear from them again. Which comforted you a little.

Who would even want what I have? These claws aren't combat-type. They're just like my extra hands. They don't hold any sort of energy or power.
I don't know what Odin was talking about. But what I do know for sure is that no one's coming after me.

You ended up throwing yourself out of bed and headed to your Plan B for when you can't sleep.

On the grass outside you lay, tracing the stars in the night sky with your finger, finding shapes and figures in the constellation.

'There are greedy man on Earth. They want what you have because they don't have it'

You remembered what Odin warned you about.

What if he was telling the truth?

You thought to yourself. You sat up and crossed your legs, looking into the darkness.

Maybe I should go back and see what I can do?

Before you could even confirm that you would send a message to Odin (through the stars, it's a trick that he taught you when you spent time on Asgard), you collapsed back into the surface. Unable to move.
Soon your eyes became heavy, you heard footsteps coming closer to you. Before letting your eyes close, you saw a man standing over you. That's the last thing you saw before he knocked you out on his own.
