Chapter Twelve
~You Can Go Home Now~

You were left stranded on the side of the a hill.
The sun's exiting had coloured the sky with a glowing orang, pink clouds and blue background.

You regretted the way you acted straight after the Winter Soldier left.
Not because you were now alone, but because it really did hurt him.

You knew he regretted what he did to you and that he was struggling with so much inside already. But you just wanted to feed to his anger. It was as if you wanted him to feel the same as you did in that moment.

Right now, you were exhausted, starving, depressed, sore and freezing.

But no matter how crappy you felt inside, you just couldn't deny the beauty that the skies held before you.

The stars were beginning to pop out and reveal themselves to you.
This was a familiar feeling. You lay down on the grass, on your back, ignoring all pain you felt inside.
With that, you took a deep in and out, closing your eyes.

You remembered your family, how humble and safe it was in there. Your mother's comforting smile and your father's typical sense of humour. You thought about your brother's immaturity and how it sometimes made you laugh till your stomach ached. You remembered your sister's laugh and the memories you shared together.

You thought about your school and never thought you'd miss those days of being an ordinary teenage girl.

Opening your eyes to lay them upon the biggest star that shone in the evening, you remembered the night the stars and galaxies would call you.

You missed it. You missed it all.
How could all this happen in just three days?

Then you suddenly remembered that Odin taught you how to send messages through the stars.

But not even he was sure if it was possible.

With all your heart, with all your emotions and with everything that's going on inside, you could pour it all out and give it to the stars.

When you first about sending a message to Odin while you were in your yard, not even you were sure if it was actually possible.

When you closed your eyes then opened them once again, everything changed and it's the moment you'd never forget.

All your surroundings was the sky. You sat upon the grass, yes. But all around you, the stars with a beautiful glowing background of blue, black, pink and purple.
The stars were right there in front of your eyes!

It wasn't something you saw before, and it's not something you'd ever forget.

In front of you, the stars had formed themselves into images of nature and warriors. Archers, fighters, squids, whales, bears, jellyfish, all kinds of animals had formed in the stars.

With a bit of struggle, you stood from the ground and reached your hand out toward a star.
You don't know what made you do it. You just did it automatically.

Your claws shot out of your back, you regained strength and bravery. You regained stability and courage!

"The Claw? That is what they call you".

A voice spoke. It was a woman's voice. And older woman's voice.

"So become it".

You rotated the top of your body, trying to find the source of the voice.

"You want your ordinary life back? The normal life of a teenage girl? You want it back?"

You didn't know whether to answer the voice or not.

"My life used to be normal. I don't want to be here".

"Well then, you can go back home now, just touch this star".

A star came before you, all you had to do was reach out for it.

"But".

Said the voice before you even reached for the star.

"Think about it Y/N. What ordinary life are you going back to? Think about this also; what are you leaving behind?"

You thought about it.

I always say I miss my normal life and I just want to go back to it. But I've never actually had a normal life when I think of it, I've got these damn claws in my back! I've been watched for three years.
If I go back home now, I know I'll regret leaving the Winter Soldier. This is something I need to face. I can't just leave. I have to endure this as well. I have to find him.

You lowered your hand and put it back to your side.

Suddenly, everything all around you was sucked up into a tiny invisible ball and the sunset was back.
It was almost like as if whoever was speaking to you, hoped you'd not go back home and instead, complete this journey.

You sat upon the grass and then suddenly realisation hit you!
The Winter Soldier was out there, he was journeying on his own.

"So the stars can take me home but they can't heal my leg?"

I guess it's for the better anyway. The Winter Soldier would defiantly not trust me if my leg was healed out of the blue. Even if I tried explaining to him of what just happened, he wouldn't believe it.

After shouting at the stars, (you weren't surprised if the Winter Soldier could hear you) you made your way down the hill and into the valley that laid ahead.
