It's been a over two weeks since Mingi's birthday. And you really haven't heard from him besides just a few random texts here and there.

It didn't phase you. The relationship just simply hasn't been the same since high school.

It truly felt like your friendship was growing further and further apart.
He would always do this. Want you around for some big event, depend on you to care for him afterwards and then go 𝑀.𝐼.𝐴 for a few days.

You picked up your phone and decided to text your friend Emily to see what she was up to.

As you waited for her reply, you went into the kitchen to make yourself something to eat.

Your phone eventually buzzed, letting you know that she replied.

𝐸𝑚𝑖𝑙𝑦: 𝐻𝑒𝑦 𝑦/𝑛, 𝐼'𝑚 𝑛𝑜𝑡 𝑑𝑜𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝑚𝑢𝑐ℎ 𝑡𝑜𝑑𝑎𝑦 ℎ𝑜𝑛𝑒𝑠𝑡𝑙𝑦. 𝑌𝑜𝑢?

You: 𝐼 𝑑𝑜𝑛'𝑡 ℎ𝑎𝑣𝑒 𝑎𝑛𝑦 𝑝𝑙𝑎𝑛𝑠 𝑒𝑖𝑡ℎ𝑒𝑟.. 𝑦𝑜𝑢 𝑤𝑎𝑛𝑛𝑎 ℎ𝑎𝑛𝑔 𝑜𝑢𝑡 𝑜𝑟 𝑠𝑜𝑚𝑒𝑡ℎ𝑖𝑛𝑔

𝐸𝑚𝑖𝑙𝑦: 𝑠𝑢𝑟𝑒! 𝐶ℎ𝑟𝑖𝑠 𝑡𝑜𝑜𝑘 𝑚𝑦 𝑐𝑎𝑟 𝑖𝑛 𝑡𝑜 𝑔𝑒𝑡 𝑓𝑖𝑥𝑒𝑑 𝑡ℎ𝑜.. 𝑆𝑜 𝐼 𝑐𝑎𝑛'𝑡 𝑐𝑜𝑚𝑒 𝑡𝑜 𝑦𝑜𝑢..

𝑌𝑜𝑢: 𝐼 𝑐𝑎𝑛 𝑐𝑜𝑚𝑒 𝑡𝑜 𝑦𝑜𝑢 𝐸𝑚!

You were excited. The two of you hadn't spent that much time together recently. She was busy with her boyfriend, and you were filling all your time with Mingi and his foolishness.

As you were heading for the door, your phone rang.

And who was it? The one and only Mingi.

"Hello?"
You answered the call.

"Y/nnnn!!"
He screamed.
"What's up??"

You were silent for a second.
"Not much what about you?"

"So much enthusiasm"
He chuckled into the phone.
"Anywayyy.. you wanna come over tonight? I'll cook for you"

You stayed quiet even longer.

"Hello?"
He spoke sounding worried.

"I'm here.."

"Oh.. you didn't say anything so"

"I'm going over to Em's tonight."
You replied.

"Em? Oh Emily? Tell her to come over too, she's hot"

"Yeah she also has a boyfriend"

"I'm messing with you y/n.."

You didn't quite know what to say to him.

"What time you going over?"
He asked.

"Right now actually"

"Ah okay.. how long you staying there?"

"Mingi you've been so weird with me lately"
You spoke before thinking, I instantly regretting what you said.

"What do you mean?"
His tone of voice was slightly different.

"It doesn't matter.. I need to leave"

"Wait Wait! I wanna talk to you first"

"I'll call you later"
You hung up on him and put your phone into your pocket.

It immediately began to ring again.
You took it out of your pocket to see if it could be Emily, but you knew it was most likely Mingi.
And it was.

You declined the call, sighing in annoyance

Seeing, talking to or interacting with him in any way was the last thing you wanted to do right now.

He always gave you the time of day when 𝒉𝒆 wanted to.
Never when you needed him, or wanted to do anything with him.

The phone began to ring again.
This time you answered it.

"What Mingi?"

"I don't know what I did? The least you can do is like tell me.. don't just hang up on me.."

" I don't have time to go into it"

"Y/n.."

You pulled your phone away from your ear to hang up.

"Please don't hang up again!"
He called out.

You did anyway and went on about your day.
