You cuddled up in your blankets as you looked at your clock.
It was already noon time on Thanksgiving Day.

You lay there looking at the ceiling, wondering what you could possibly do today.
You had a few days off of work, so you wanted to use them wisely.

Spending any holiday alone sucks. Especially ones like Thanksgiving and Christmas.

You picked up your phone and called Mingi, finally thinking of something.

You heard him laugh loudly before he spoke into the phone.

"What's up y/n"

"Hey what are you doing for thanksgiving?"
You asked, hoping that he could catch on that you had nothing to do.

"Ehh I'm just playing videos games"

"Oh okay"

"What are you doing?"
He asked you also.

"Nothing "

"Really? You can come over if you want.. I just have some friends over though"

That's what you were hoping he'd say, but you felt weird about it as well.
You also hoped that he wasn't hanging out with his same friends from high school.
If so, you didn't want to be there.

Part of you just wanted to stick with what you were familiar with after all this mess with Corbin.
You wanted your friendship back with Mingi.
So as much as you didn't like those boys, you were determined to make things right with him.

-

You got to his house around mid afternoon.
There were a few vehicles parked in front of his building.
You assumed them to belong to his friends.

You knocked on the door, but no one answered.

After a few moments, you knocked once more.
Still no one.

Awhile had passed, so you finally decided to just go in.
Mingi never had his door locked, despite how dangerous it was.

You could hear the sound of a video game being played in his living room.

You took off your shoes, leaving your jacket on, then proceeded toward the commotion

You took off your shoes, leaving your jacket on, then proceeded toward the commotion.

He sat on his couch along with two other boys, headsets on and all.

You stood for a moment, wondering when they'd notice you.

One of the boys turned as you had made a small movement.

He lowered his headset slowly and tapped Mingi on the lap.

Mingi turned in his direction, but fixed his attention on you.

"Oh hey y/n"
He removed the large item on his ears as well and hung it around his neck.

"You guys seem like your having fun"
You watched them pause the game.

"Yeah"
He laughed and came over to you.

"Y/n, this is Nam-Kyu and Kyung-Tae, guys this is my friend y/n"

They both said hello to you in unison.

They weren't the old gang that he used to hang out with.
You hadn't met these boys before.

"You can come sit down with us"
He spoke, and headed back to his seat.

The couch was full with the three boys, so you went to sit on his other couch.

They resumed the game and started their chants again.

You watched the screen, feeling slightly awkward about what to do.

You had wished that it was just you and Mingi.
These boys seemed nice, but you didn't know them enough to feel comfortable striking up a conversation with them.

You continued to sit quietly while the boys high fived each other and laughed over the game.

Your eyes drifted off of the television and over to Mingi.
He looked so sweet sitting there with his friends.

A smile grew on your face seeing his familiar glow.
He glanced over at you, making you quickly look away.

You hoped that he hadn't really noticed.
It wasn't weird to look at him. It was just weird to be caught looking at him.

After awhile of video game watching, you started to get bored.
This visit wasn't quite like what you thought it would be.

You noticed Mingi looking at you through the corner of your eye.

"Hey"

You heard his voice, but assumed he was talking to his friends.

"Helloo"
He called again, catching your attention.

You looked over to see him waving at you.

"Oh sorry"
You laughed.

"You okay?"
He asked.

You nodded.

He lifted a finger and motioned for you to come with him.
He then stood up, walking out of sight.

You did as he wanted, and followed him into his kitchen.

"You okay?"
He asked you for a second time, hopping onto his counter top.

"I'm fine.. why?"

"Because.."
He he hinted.

You knew what he meant.
A few days after your breakup, you had told Mingi about it.

"I'm fine."
You assured.

"Aiight"
He raised his hands up in surrender and smiled slightly at you.

"You should come here though"
He suggested.

"What?"
You asked in confusion.

"Come here"
He waved you over.

You cautiously approached him.
He took your hands and pulled you closer, stationing you between his legs.

"What is this"
You asked nervously as he embraced you.

"I'm here for you y/n"
He hugged your body close to his.
"I'm sorry he treated you that way"

"It's okay Mingi"
You tried to push away but he had to in a tight hold.

"You don't deserve that shit"

"Thanks?"
You laughed.

"No problem"
He released you a little.

"I should have beat his ass"
He chucked, hopping off of the counter.

"No you shouldn't have Min"
You said sternly.

"I should have yeah"
He winked at you before rummaging in the fridge.

"You're funny"

"You're beautiful"
He spoke back.

You paused for a moment, asking yourself if you had heard that correctly.

"Mingi?"
You started.

"Hey Mingi we just beat the level!!"
One of the boys hollered from the living room.

"No way!"
He made his way back over and rubbed your back gently while passing by and entering the living room.

You were still frozen, trying to process what had just happened.
