"Let's run away together." He insisted.

"But what about my parents and yours?" I asked concerned.

"Do you really think they'll notice?" He asked in a 'duh' tone.

"You have a point."

"So?" He asked hoping I would say yes.

The reason Colby is asking me to run away with him is because he's running away from his abusive parents. My parents are also abusive. We've talked about doing this several times before.

"Yes." I simply said.

His eyes got so big and he had this smile on his face I've never seen before. It was out of pure happiness. 'Someone's really happy' I thought in my head. We packed our bags and we met up at the park nearby. That was the start of our journey.
