You'd find them playing video games
Or watching anime
The typical teenage stuff
But the way they light up
Talking about their joys in life
I try to go the extra mile or two
Just to see that real smile
I know I have issues
So they don't seem to smile a lot
And that's my fault
And I wish it wasn't
But they are my person
I go to them in times of need
And they help more than they think
I can't make them happy though
So maybe if I leave they will be
Wait I can't do that
I promised to stay
And they promised not to leave
So I'll stay and keep trying
Trying to make them
Show that real smile
They have buried inside
