On My Knees

29 8 16

You bring me on my knees
With your sinless eyes
And the seraphic shine
Welcoming me home
With the crystal giggles
And the crimson rain
That take my breath away
And every ounce of me
As long as I'm alive

You bring me on my knees
With every word you utter
And every song you stutter
For they undo my heart
And every shred of hurt
As young lips quiver
They play music for my
Voracious heartstrings
That sing along no matter

You bring me on my knees
Longing for just a glimpse
Into your mystic world
Invisible paradise
A vast, inner universe
For such a being concise
You make me wish to read
Into your snow-white mind
Incantations decreed
My fondness spellbind

You bring me on my knees,
With your refreshing breeze,
Wash out my grief with ease,

My Child…
