Chapter 10

Im already lying in bed when i got my senses back. I heard Sir Dylan shouting at the phone, muttering curses.

" Ano ka ba naman Stan! Why did you cancel at the last minute? You didn't even let me know! Evie saw me naked! Shit!"

At bigla kong naala ang nangyari. I could feel my cheeks heating up. Grabe, nakakahiya! I'll pretend na lang na natutulog ako pero it's too late. He already saw me. He put the phone down and sigh.

" Are you okay?", sir Dylan asked.

" Ugh.. yeah. Nabigla lang. I didnt know that we'll be roomies." i looked somewhere else sa sobrang pagkahiya.

"Unfortunately, the hotel is fully booked. We'll both be staying here at the penthouse."

"So be it. Wala naman palang choice eh." maarte kong sagot.

"Why don't you freshen up? Let's have lunch. I'll meet you at the restaurant." Sir Dylan said before he left and didn't give me a chance to reply.

Hay, wala naman akong choice. I can't contain my hunger. Who am I to say no to a free meal. I then took a quick shower and changed into a simple short white dress. I just put some powder, a bit of lip gloss and spritz on my favorite perfume.

Oh, there's a band playing!
I've been cooped up in my own little world for so long and its a welcome relief to enjoy something as simple as this. Ang bigat kase ng pinagdaanan ko and napakalaking pagbabago sa buhay ko.  And i jolted out of my reverie when somebody called my name.

"Evie, please take a seat. Kanina pa ko naghihintay dito" sabi ng nakasimangot na si Sir Dylan. Hay, what else is new. Parati naman syang parang galit sakin.

As i take my seat, humirit na naman sya. " You really enjoy attention, huh"

"What are you talking about?" naguguluhan kong sagot.

"Ang iksi kase ng damit mo and men are gawking at you!"

I then glanced at what im outfit . " Nothing is wrong with what im wearing. My dress looks conservative. Matangkad lang ako kaya mukhang maiksi. "

"Fine! Let's order. I'll have baked potato, grilled tomatoes and filet mignon. How about you?" asked Sir Dylan.

" Same as your order plus ceasar salad", i said. Pinipigilan kong ngumiti kase kita ko ang pagkagulat sa mukha nya upon hearing my order. What can I say, i appreciate good food. Malakas ang loob ko na umorder kase i read sa project syllabus na all expenses paid including meals ng empleyado. Pay back time!

And when our order arrived, i cant help but salivate. Bigla din naman ako napaawa sa sarili ko. Ganito na ba ako ka deprived? Dati its just a normal meal for me. Anyway, you have to take the card that you're dealt with. I took a bite and ang sarap talaga.

" You want more? Parang bitin ka pa." nakakalokong tanong ni Sir Dylan.

"No, I'm good.", ang napapahiya kong sagot. PG na ata ang dating ko.

"Suit yourself. Anyway, I'll be going to the bar for a few drinks. Ikaw?"

" Uhmm, I'll stay here for a while. And thank you for the dinner."

Dylan suddenly turned and winked at me and continued heading to the bar. Bakit biglang bumilis ang heartbeat ko. I suddenly feel warm inside. Uh-oh, no Evie, a big resounding No!
