I woke up with a terrible headache. Wala na siguro kasing practice. I forced myself to get out of bed. I stumbled to the bathroom and removed my nightie.
" What the fuck!", sigaw ni Sir Dylan.
I immediately ran out and wore a robe.
" Why didn't you lock the door, you moron?", i screamed back at him
" Palabas na ako ng bathroom, dire-direcho ka pumasok at naghubad na lang." sabay tawa ni Sir Dylan.
Patakbo akong bumalik sa cr. I slammed the door shut. Naririnig ko pa din syang tumatawa. Wala na bang katapusan ang mga kahihiyan na ito?
" Hurry, after breakfast we'll have a formal meeting with our clients. Mamaya ka na lang ulit mag striptease.", pang-aasar nya.
" Bastos!", sigaw ko pabalik sa kanya.
" Fuck, ako pa ang bastos?", tumawa na naman sya ng malakas bago umalis sa room.
I dried my hair and hurriedly put on my makeup. Some tint and lipgloss and im good to go. Im wearing an off shoulder flowy yellow dress with slit that reaches my thigh. I didn't wear a business suit since asa resort type hotel naman kami.
When i entered the mini conference room, two seats na lang ang kulang.
" Nice of you to show up",
Clara said.
Remember her? Yung officemate ko na maldita. Wala naman akong ginagawa sa kanya but she dislikes me that much.
I just took a seat. Asa gitna namin si Sir Dylan whom I caught smirking. Umirap na lang ako.
" May I have your attention please. I'm Alvin Perez, EVP of Enriquez Group of Hotels and Resorts. My boss will be here shortly. So please have your presentation ready. Thank you.", he said.
I stared blankly. Wala naman nabanggit sakin na meron presentation na gagawin. I thought initial meeting lang.
Napatingin ako kay Clara. And she stared back at me.
" Everything is all set. How about you, Evita?", she said smugly.
" This is her 1st stint so it would be better if you'll help her. Stan and I will personally head this project. This is a big account. No room for mistakes." Sir Dylan said.
I just nod my head. I actually read the company's profile several times. I'm a bit nervous though. Sanay na ako kase when I turned 17, tumutulong na ako sa company ni dad. Pero syempre iba pa rin pag ako na ang empleyado. How I miss my parents. Nagulat na lang ako ng biglang patayin ang ilaw. Nag daydream na naman ako. Nag start na ang presentation. Clara is in front and she started her pitch. I saw Sir Dylan smiling. I have to admit that she's good.
Natapos na ang presentation and the lights were turned on.
Sir Dylan stood up and formally introduced himself as the CEO of Alandy Corporation. Natigil sya sa pagsasalita ng biglang..
" Your thoughts, Ms. Evie Berbon?"
And when I looked at the direction of the one who just spoke, nagulat ako.
" Seb!" and I smiled back at him.
"Oh, you know my boss, Mr. Sebastian Enriquez, heir of the Enriquez Group of Hotels and Resorts." Mr. Perez interjected.
Napahiya naman ako. And I quickly greeted him formally, "Good morning, Mr. Enriquez."
" Seb is okay. You made me appear old Alvin." sabay ngiti nya.
" As I was saying, I want to hear what Evie has to say" Seb continued.
" No need. My staff, Ms Clara Castro can give a thorough explanation since she's in charge of the project. Ms Berbon will assist her." sagot ni Sir Dylan na halatang nagpipigil ng inis.
" Well, I want Evie to spearhead our account. No ifs, no buts. Or the deal is off, Mr. Alandy. ", matigas na sagot ni Seb.
" Okay. Let's sign the contract. If this works out, the succeeding marketing projects will be exclusively handled by Alandy Corporation." Sir Dylan bargained.
" Sure. Have the papers ready and I'll sign it. " Seb said. Sabay kindat sakin ni Seb. Napangiti na lang ako sabay tungo.
Yay! We got the deal! I approached Sir Dylan and parang nakasimangot sya. Same with Clara. Pero I kind of understand her kase she did the hardwork tapos ako bigla ang mag lead ng project.
" Great job, Clara on your presentation. Ang galing!" sabi ko sabay abot ng kamay ko na tiningnan lang nya.
" You have a lot to learn kid! Hindi lahat nakukuha sa ganda. Tandaan mo yan!" Sabay talikod nya. She left the room.
I then turned and saw Seb approaching.
" I guess will be seeing each other more the next coming days." said Seb with a sincere smile on his face.
Bago pa ako makasagot, Sir Dylan butt in. " Of course, and I will accompany her everytime."
I was dumbfounded and hindi agad ako nakapag react. Seb got in between us and pulled me closer to him.
He whispered " I have your number. I'll give you a call."
He winked at me and left.
I feel my cheeks heating up.
I looked up at ang sama sakin ng tingin ni Sir Dylan. What did I do wrong this time?
