[AERI'S POV]

a few months has passed, my relationship with hyunjin was going strong.

yena and seungmin started dating, as all of us expected.

felix and minho also got a girlfriend so there are fewer singles in the group now.

it's great to see that my friends finally found the one for them.

our exams also just ended, leaving us with more freetime to ourselves.

it's kind of weird how good life has been.

my phone's ringtone interrupted my thoughts.

hyunjin❤️ is calling..

"where are you?"

"i'm at the convenience store near
my house. what's up?"

"wanna meet? i'll wait for you at the playground near your house."

"sure, see you."

"okay. bye, love youu."

"love you too."

i hung up, grabbing another can of soda for hyunjin before heading to the cashier to pay.

"thank you." i grabbed the drinks, heading to the playground.

i spotted hyunjin squatting on the floor, playing with kkami.

this sight feels so familiar.

right..

the day i fell for hyunjin seeing him play with kkami who was just a puppy then.

kkami seemed to notice me, wagging his tail happily and tried to run to me, only to get pulled back by his leash.

hyunjin looked up, immediately breaking into a wide grin.

he stood up, waving at me excitedly.

how could i have not fallen for him after seeing him smile like that?

thank god i saw him that day.

what would i do without him now?

i ran over to him, hugging him. i broke the hug, carrying kkami in my arms, not wanting to leave him out.

"why the sudden hug?" he chuckled, putting his arm around me, hugging me back.

"just because." i hugged him tighter.

"ok then." he stroked my hair, swaying me from side to side.

kkami wagged his tail faster, taking turn to lick us both on the face.

it all started because of a simple smile, but i wouldn't want it any other way.
