Once the professor dismissed class. I looked behind me to see that Charlotte stood up and was about to leave. I stood up packing my things in a hurry more like stuffing it in my bag and chased after her.

"Charlotte!" I called her name. She turned around to face me. Our eyes met but she turned around and continued walking.

"Wait!" I yelled enough for her to hear me but she ignored me. I walked towards her but Gabe stopped me.

"What do you want now?" He asked furiously. "This doesn't involve you. Stay out of it." I answered back and was about to follow Charlotte but he grabbed my arm and pulled me back.

"You may be handsome but you're still a nerd. Just focus on your studies and don't think of her. She's way out of your league."

I slapped his hand away from my arm and said furiously "Like I said before this doesn't involve you."

"I was going easy on you but I think the hard way will make you snap out of it." He said as he pulled his sleeves up ready to fight me.

"I'm not gonna get my hands filthy." I said honestly. He grabbed my collar and threatened me "You better stay away from her or else I'll beat you up."

"Get your filthy hands away from me." I said through my teeth that were clenched. He pushed me hard causing me to hit the wall that was a feet behind me. Then he just walked away.

I kept sending texts to Charlotte but she didn't reply to my texts or even read them. I threw my phone on the bed and plopped on my bed. I was staring at the ceiling for god knows how long and drift off to sleep.

I left my dorm early in the morning because I woke up early and was bored so I decided to take my time going to my lecture.

As I was walking I saw Charlotte but I witnessed something I didn't expect to see.

A few girls were surrounding her. It looked like the were yelling at her because of their angry facial expression.

I kept walking towards them. One of them slapped Charlotte across the face. I started running towards them and dropped my things on the ground once I was next to them.

"What the hell do you think you're doing?!" I yelled. All of them were shocked and backed a step or two away from Charlotte. Charlotte was covering her cheek from the slap and she didn't even look up at me.

I hugged her and glared at them while saying "If you ever touch her again I'll make you all regret it."

They didn't even reply and left in a hurry. "Are you ok?" I asked softly. She pushed me away and said "This is all your fault. Don't talk to me."

I grabbed her wrist "Why are you acting this way? What did I do to you?" I kept asking desperately wanting to know the answers.

"You just saw what happened! All of this is because of you! Just because you changed on the outside every girl on campus likes you but hate me because I hang out with you. Just leave me alone."

She snatched her hand away then walked away leaving me shocked and speechless.
