How you met-
I closed my eyes and blinked back tears as I looked at my brother’s coffin, I was at his wake and watched as numerous people put flowers beside it.
“Excuse me miss?” A man said as he came up to me.
“Can I help you?” I asked.
“My name is Ryuuzaki, I was a friend of your brothers.” He said.
“I’m Miya, nice to meet you.” I smiled as I shook his hand.
He looked kind of odd, with messy hair, baggy clothes and dark rings under his eyes.
“I was wondering, is there somewhere we can talk?” He asked.
“Sure, I wasn’t going to the burial anyway.” I said.
He followed me outside and soon we made it to a small coffee store.
“So, what did you want to talk about?” I asked.
“I had to ask, how did your brother die?” Ryuuzaki asked.
I looked down at my drink and sighed.
“My brother was doing a bank job, he needed money and that was the only thing that could really pay for it, things were going well but then he had a heart attack…” I said.
“And that seems weird?” Ryuuzaki asked.
“He was 21, and he worked out practically every day, and he was big on eating healthy.” I said as I looked into his lazy looking eyes.
“I see your point.” He said.
“Why do you ask?” I asked.
“Because, I want you to join the Kira case.” He said as he got straight to the point.
I blinked a few times then nodded.
“Good, I’ll have Matsuda take you to work tomorrow.” he smiled.
I sipped my tea and smiled back.
How he told you-
I was walking through the hospital halls with Ryuuzaki, we were on break and he wanted to see why I spent most of my time at the hospital.
“Ryo?” I asked as I peaked my head into my sisters room.
“Miya? Hi!” She grinned as she sat up.
I walked into the room with Ryuuzaki following behind, watching Ryo closely.
“Who’s he?” Ryo asked.
“This is my friend Ryuuzaki.” I smiled.
Ryo watched as he sat next to her bed and pulled his knees up to his chin.
“You sit funny.” She giggled.
Ryuuzaki blinked and tilted his head to the side.
“So are you Miya’s boyfriend or something?” Ryo asked.
I blushed and looked away.
“No, just a friend.” Ryuuzaki said.
For a while we mostly just talked but soon it was time to leave.
