[Cheerful] Nico x Reader

(A/N): I am so sorry for not being on in forever! I have a lot of time now because of Thanksgiving Break, so expect some new chapters!

(Y/N) POV

"Nico!" I called to my best friend. He had just gotten back from a quest to bring a demigod to camp. I saw him arrive with Piper (who went to help) and a beautiful girl that looked to be my age. She was obviously flirting with Nico, but the Son of Hades was completely oblivious to her intentions. I rolled my eyes, feeling jealous. Wait, JEALOUS? No, (Y/N), He won't like you like that. It's not going to work.

I called Nico's name again and he spun to meet my gaze. "(Y/N)!" He yelled and ran toward me, enveloping me in a hug. I giggled and hugged him back. Before the quest to bring the new demigod, Nico had to help his dad in the Underworld for a year, so I haven't seen my best friend's smiling face in so long.

We caught up on life, sitting at our secret spot, the only maple tree in the forest. Nico looked down at me as my head was on his shoulder and smiled. I matched his expression, trying to ignore the urge to kiss him right then and there. Nico looked into my (E/C) eyes and stared.

I took a risk and pushed myself up, gently pressing my lips to his. I felt him stiffen, then relax and kiss me back. I smiled into the kiss and wrapped my arms around his neck while his hands relaxed on my waist. After about a minute or so, we pulled away. I looked at Nico, his eyes still slightly wide from shock.

"I'm sorry, that was a bad idea. I'll just go..." I sighed and stood up. Great job, (Y/N)! You just ruined the best friendship you ever had.

"Wait, (Y/N)." Nico said and pulled me back down to sit. "(Y/N) I love you. I have loved you since we met when we were twelve at Fireworks Beach. You are amazing and you make me happy. Please be my girlfriend" He asked, a hopeful gleam in his eyes. I nodded and pulled him in for another sweet kiss.
