You gave mr and mrs Smith a fake smile as he shook your hand. You saw the flash of surprise on their face.

"Maybe it's cause I look a few years younger after that herbal shit..." you felt awkward. At least your (f/c) turtle neck and a long black skirt covered up all his markings on you.

Vasilios did not crossdress or wear any makeup. He wore a black turtleneck and a pair of light blue, straight-cut pants. His outfit was completed with a beige jacket draped around his shoulders.

The couple actually thought that you looked... unethically young for Vasilios to date. But they did not comment.

They couldn't afford to offend him, he's their last hope to 'wake' their son up.

"Mister Vasilios! It's nice to see you this evening!" Said Mr Smith.

"Likewise, mr and mrs Smith." He elegantly shook their hands.

"Come in, come in!" They moved out of the way to let both of you in. You eyed the wrapped present Vasilios is carrying for the birthday man.

-A brand new container of the herbal ointment you used earlier.

-A self-help book titled: "A Guide to eating healthy and not being a disappointment to others."

-Another self-help book titled: "Making friends 101".

-An electric shaver.

-A comb.

-A loofah.

-another self-help book titled: "Breaking bad habits, easy as 1, 2, 3!"

-One more self-help book titled: "Job hunting for dummies".

- and finally, an exhaustingly long letter written by Vasilios himself, basically harshly telling him to stop leeching off his parents. Also, the letter was about how Vasilios pulled himself together plus some tips about taxes, mortgages, loans, banks, bills and other financial paperwork.

You? You only bought him a pair of white socks. Nothing else.

Both of you placed the presents on a table, filled with other boxes wrapped in different designs of wrapping paper.

Actually, the older couple visited to Vasilios's house yesterday to discuss about the birthday man. Mr and Mrs Smith almost begged Vasilios to come and talk some sense into him, knowing that anyone with an immature mind or generally posesses a timid nature fears him.

Vasilios begrudgingly agreed on the condition that you are also invited and treated as a family friend, not as stranger or an escort.

From there, they knew thar Vasilios valued you and thought highly of you. Why? It's because he never even acknowledged his previous lovers. Usually, he would treat them like they were invisible to him, not caring to introduce his exes to anyone.

His exes would usually insert themselves in, expecting everyone else to see them as Vasilios's long-term romantic partner and treat them with utmost respect just because they managed to 'snag' Vasilios's heart.
