Saturday. The day many students went off to visit family. Bella was hoping her family forgot about their usual weekly dinner. She was doing her history homework when her phone buzzed. Expecting to be be a friend or Carlos, she picked it up. She scanned over the text and groaned. As she threw her phone to the other side off the bed, Piper walked in. "Whats up with you?" she asks, cautiously walking to her own side of the room. Bella grabbed her phone off put on a voice. "Hello dear, I am just reminding you that our weekly dinners are starting back up tonight. You may arrive with or without your sister but you are both expected by 6pm. Goodbye" she read, in a mocking tone of her grandmother. "You love your family though?" piper looks at her in confusion. "Yes of course, but I haven't seen then since Carlos became my boyfriend and they won't approve, they'll say he's" she explains, the next words in air quotes "Not good enough for me" Piper sighs. She nods but cant think of anything to say. "They cant change love my friend" she finally says simply. Bella shrugs.

Bella pulls out her grannies favourite dress. It was a lighter pink than usual, slighter long and it has a golden waistband. "Makeup?" she turns to piper exiting the bathroom. "Just a little, keep it Casual but cute" piper says, pulling out the perfect eyeshadow. Piper finds a nice gloss and throws it at her friend. "Ow" Bella mutters, rubbing her head where it hit her. "oops, but wear that" piper says, not one ounce of sincerity in her voice. Bella rolls her eyes but does as she was told. "Hair down, leave it in waves" Piper says, before Bella could ask. Bella nodded, brushing it out and leaving it to fall down her back. She skims thought her jewellery. She picks her tiara she wore daily and places it on her head. Without bothering to ask, she slips her converse on and smiles at herself in the mirror. "Wish me luck" she says, grabbing her bag and jacket. "Yeah yeah good luck, if you see jay tell him I need english help" piper says, stressing over her homework. Piper clearly wasn't paying attention. Bella shakes her head and leaves, full of nerves. .

Conveniently, she bumped into jay as she headed to Audreys room. "Piper said she needs English help" she smiles, not bothering to stop. Jay sighs, but is honoured that piper Trusts him enough to let him help her. Audrey appeared from her room. "Ready?" She asked, taking in her little sisters beauty. "As i'll ever be" Bella replies, her usual confident demeanour gone. Audrey smiles sympathetically as they walk towards where they were meant to meet to be driven. "Don't worry, I've got your back" she says, sensing the nerves. "Thats comforting coming from the girl who tried to make me sleep for 100 years" Bella retorted sassily. "Why do I bother" she sighs. "Oh look car" Bella points out, changing the subject,  as the familiar pink car pulls up before them. "Lets go see our dear dear family" they say in unison getting in. This was going to be a long night.

The car pulled up. Waiting for them were their parents. Audrey was always a mummy girl, Bella was always a daddies girl. "Dad!" she squeals, having not seen him since Christmas, it was now June. He engulfs her in a hug and spins her around. Audrey and their mothers greeting was much less dramatic. "Anna" Their mother gave her a hug. Both their parents had a soft spot in their hearts for Bella, deep down they just wanted her happy. They walk in and enter the sitting room. "Annabella! Audrey" their grandmother smiled. Both girls share an agitated look. Neither could stand their grandmother for more than an hour. They sit down and make small talk until dinner is served.

Dinner was remotely pleasant. That was until her mother brought up the question. "Do either of you have boyfriends yet?" she says, her sweet tone showing. Audrey squeezed her sisters hand under the table. "As a matter of fact, yes I do" Bella says, nervous. "Wonderful! Who is he?" her mother asks, her father just grumbles. He didn't want his baby girl growing up. "His name is Carlos, Carlos de vil" Bella bit her lip. Everyones smiles turn to looks of horror. "As in the isle boy?" he dad tries to keep his cool. Bella nods and shifts closer to her sister. At this point she felt back as a child. She needed her big sister for protection. "Well, we shall have to meet him" her mother claps her hands together. Her grandmother turns to her daughter in shock. "We cant have him in our house!" she exclaims. Bella was filled with anger. She loved this boy. "He's my boyfriend granny!" Bella says, causing all the adults to look at her. "He's a villain Annabella" her grandmother says, remotely calmly. "You cant help who you fall in love with!" Bella fights back.

Her father watches the scene. He can see the hurt in his youngest daughters eyes. She cared deeply for this boy. He may not be a prince as they'd hoped for but he made her happy. Thats all he wanted. He must treat her right, Bella wouldn't stand for anything less. Piper wouldn't let anyone treat her badly. Audrey sat forward. "Granny I've seen them together, he's amazing for her" Audrey tries. Bella shoots Audrey a smile as if to say 'thank you' "Im not having it! My granddaughter can not be in love with a villain" she spits. "He's good!" Bella raises her voice, tears threatening to spill. Her mother kept quiet. She wanted Bella to be happy. This boy made her happy. But she couldn't be sure he wouldn't break her heart. '"He's is still a villain! He is not good enough for you. I doubt he is smart enough for you nor does he have the looks. He doesn't care for you like he should. He will always be evil. He isn't worth one ounce of your time, or mine" her granny says causing Bella to be  slowly be ripped to pieces. "He is worth everything! He means more to me than you understand! He isn't bad!" Bella says, tears slowly coming out one by one.  "If you continue to stay in a relationship with this boy, I refuse to see you" her grandmother crosses her arms. Bella steps back in shock. This was breaking her heart. Did she really have to choose? She loved her family dearly. But she loved her boyfriend as well. If she lost him, she'd most likely loose many of her friends. Maybe even her best friend. She had to make a choice.Or could she cheat? Could she have both? All it took was one little lie? But was it worth the guilt?  Everyones eyes were on her and she opened her mouth to reply...
