23. "Today has been surprisingly nice"

"Why do you look way too happy?" Piper questions. "Bennyboo is considering something for me, which will make all of you very happy" she smiles. "What is he considering?" Piper asks, growing impatient. "I asked ben if we could leave their year" Bella shrugs simply, leaning her head against the tree. "And? What did he says?" Piper grows excited. "I'll think about it" Bella replies. "which means yes, he just has to get older authorities permission"The girls say in unison. Both boys turn to look at them in confusion. "You see, we have had a lot things like this happen, we do it a lot" Piper explains. "you do what a lot?" A voice asks from behind the small group. "Quinn" Jay mutters. "Oh how how lovely to see you" Bella says, in a sickly sweet tone. "Nice to see you too, princess" Quinn replies. "What do you want?" Piper asks. "I want to know what you lot are talking about, and why miss princess was in bens office" Quinn says, as if it was a normal request. "Ben is a friend, I was visiting him, we were discussing how piper and I often visit ben because we grew up with him" Bella lies effortlessly. Quinn narrows her eyes at the girl but can't see any signs that she was lying. "Fine" Quinn sighs and walks away. "I hate her" Bella mutters making her friends laugh. 

Parents day. One of the most loved, or most hated, days of the year.  Bella wore her normal princess attire and decided to throw her hair up in a high ponytail. A knock came from the door. "Come in" Bella called, expecting it to be one of her friends who often wanted fashion advice. "Have you decided yet?" Ben asks, leaning against the door frame. "decided what?" Bella questions, placing a small tiara on her head. "To sing" he says. Bella glances at her desk. Her song book lay open on a song she finally finished last night. A burst of confidence rushes through her as she found her self nodding. "What song?" Ben says, happy she'd said yes. "My own, don't worry it's appropriate" The princess teases. "Music?" he asks. "Piano" she says and he nods. Bella grabs her song book and quickly scribbles down a melody. "here, get someone to play this" she hands him it. He skims over it and nods. "Have you seen piper?" he asks, completely off topic. "actually, She was looking for-" Bella starts before a certain red head appeared by the kings side. "Ben! When is he arriving?" piper bounces up and down on the spot. "He'll be here soon, don't worry, you'll be the first to know" he smiles before bidding the pair goodbye. 

"I'm excited, but nervous,  but happy, really really happy, but at the same time what if people don't like him" Piper babbles as the girls wander downstairs. "He will fit in perfectly, don't stress" Bella smiles. As the arrive in the garden she scans the crowd for her parents. The certain couple were stood talking to some people Bella could only assume who they were. "Do you mind?" Bella looks over at piper. Piper wasn't paying much attention, more off in her own little world. "Oh yeah, go one, I'll go find jay" Piper smiles, scanning the crowd for her boyfriend. Bella gives her a slight wave and weaves her way through the crowd. 

Phillip spots his daughter and nudges his wife softly. "There's our princess" Aurora smiles fondly. "Dad! Mum!" she calls out, speeding up as she neared them. All three shared a hug. "Are you okay? I mean considering last week and all" her mother asks. Bella shrugs but nods. Audrey walks up to the family and shares a hug with each parent and her little sister. They talk about life since they last saw each other. "When do we get to meet this boy you are so fond of?" her dad teases making his daughter go slightly red. "I'll go get him?" Bella proposes. Her mother nods and they watch their daughter slip into the crowd. 

"Hey" she arrives at the group. Evie smiles at her, pausing her conversation with piper. "My family want to meet you, just mum and dad, plus Audrey but you know" Bella says, full of nerves. "Well it's now or never" He smiles, taking her hand. Jay looks at piper and they whisper"Sickening" in unison. They walk over to the family and bellas' dad gives him a look. "Mum, dad this is Carlos" she gestures between them. "And please can you just forget what happened last year, with the potion and granny and yeah.." Bella trails off. "It's lovely to meet you" Aurora smiles warmly. "It's lovely to meet you as well, Bella talks very highly of her family" Carlos smiles politely. They make small talk at first before it turns into proper conversation. Bella drifts away and notices a car pull up just outside the gates. "If you don't mind, we have somewhere to be" Bella smiles at her parents. "Go ahead" Phillip smiles. Carlos goes along with what his girlfriend was saying and walks away with her. "Go find jay, tell piper to meet me at the statue" Bella instructs. 

Piper, confused, walks up to Bella. "What do you-" She starts before noticing the certain person stepping out of the car. "Parker!" she shouts, running towards her big brother. She jumps into his arms, almost knocking him over. "chill...I know I'm special but calm down" he mutters causing his sister to hit him. She babbles to him before finally the siblings walk towards Bella. "If it isn't little Bella" Parker smirks. "Parker" Bella smiles giving him a small hug. "Bella!" ben calls. "Gotta go, bye" the princess leaves the two to run up to sing.

"This is Annabella, daughter of Aurora and Phillip and she is going to sing a song she wrote herself" ben introduces. Bella smiles at the crowd and takes the microphone. She sings a song she wrote herself [lets pretend she did write it] Audrey recognises this. The sisters started it not too long ago. She hums along before Bella notices. She beckons for her to join her. The two sisters sing together, wowing the audience with their voices. 

Piper smiles across the stage at jay. Jay was slightly nervous to meet Parker, he meant so much to piper. Parkers attention was on Audrey. "who's the girl with Bella?" Parker whispers to his sister. Piper lets out a laugh. "Audrey" she says and watches her brothers eyes widen. "Wow she grew up" Parker says, amazed by the girls beauty. "She's single" piper says in a sing song tone. Parker rolls his eyes but doesn't say anything back. "When do I get to meet this boy toy of yours" he teases as Bella and Audrey finish. Whilst clapping Piper hits him. "He's my boyfriend and now I guess" she grabs his arm and pulls him over to the group. 

Jay tenses up at the sight of Parker. Piper bounces up to him and kisses his cheek. "Jay, Parker, Parker, Jay" she introduces the pair. They look at each other, each trying to work the other out. "You know it's polite to talk" Piper says, holding onto jays arm. They begin to talk and as they become friendly Piper wanders off towards Bella. "Today has been surprisingly nice" Bella laughs. "That indeed" Piper smiles, linking arms with her best friend. Everyone seems so happy. Everyone bar one person. Quinn. And she didn't want everyone being this happy if she couldn't be.
