Opposites attract

20. "Relationship problems?"

"I have a new best friend" Bella joins everyone at lunch. Piper hits her as everyone looks at her in confusion. "Its called sarcasm" Bella looks back at everyone. "Who is this dear girl who dared to annoy the Annabella?" jay asks. Bella looks around and cant spot her. "Her names Quinn" Bella shrugs as if it wasn't a big deal. The original four vks look at each other in horror. "Is she... queen of hearts' daughter?" mal asks, her voice lowered. Bella nods causing the vks eyes to widen. For some reason they all look at jay. "Just stay away from her, she's bad news" Evie says. "She's a heart breaker" Carlos says. Bella just looks at him. "Oh that ruins my plan of going and falling in love with her" she rolls her eyes causing piper to giggle. 

Uma and harry walk over. Uma softly pushes Bella towards piper so she and harry can sit down. "What are we talking about and why do" uma starts before waving her finger at the four vks at the end of the table "you four look like you've just seen a ghost" She finishes. "Quinn" Jay mutters. "Oh dear Quinn who stole your one true love" uma giggles. Carlos turns to Bella and looks at her in confusion. "Her chair" harry expands, only causing more confusion. Piper, Uma and harry burst into laughter. "Princess of cards was sat in my chair so I told FG that I was emotionally attached" Bella shrugs, only causing more laughter from the three that had been in the lesson. "Just don't...ask" piper says breathlessly through the giggles. 

"Thats her" Bella points the the blonde before realisation sets in. Carlos scans over the girl and confirms it. "Ill be back" she mutters walking towards the group. "Im sorry to disturb you, but please may I borrow my sister for a second" she smiles at the princesses, ignoring Quinn. "of course" Lonnie smiles as Audrey walks with her sister. "Stay away from Quinn" Bella warns. "why?" Audrey challenges. She assumed it was her sister either wanting the new friend all to herself or not wanting Audrey to have more friends that her. "She's bad news" Bella says. "Says who?" Audrey places a hand on her hip. "Carlos, mal Evie and jay" Bella lists. "and why should we trust them?" Audrey asks. "because they are my friends" Bella states. "Whatever" Audrey rolls her eyes, starting to walk away. "Just keep wary" Bella says. Audrey keeps her back to her but gives her a sassy wave. Bella rolls her eyes and walks back to where Carlos stood. 

 "Did you warn her?" Carlos asks. "I think" Bella half States half questions. "She seemed relatively okay in class" Bella says. "trust me, she's got a bad side" Carlos says. Being the curious and inquisitive girl she is, Bella asks "How?" Carlos panics. "You don't want to know, I have to go, bye" he quickly kisses her on the cheek before leaving. "Okay, note to self, don't ask Carlos about Quinn" she mutters, walking towards the library. She was annoyed he just suddenly left her but she hoped he had valid reason, or more likely, an excuse. It hurt her to know he didn't want to tell her something. They usually told each other everything, good or bad. Reading would numb the hurt for a short while until she had to talk to him again. 

She wanders into the library and smiles at the lady behind the desk. She browses the shelves and settles on a book. Bella turns around and goes to her corner where she sits down. The library used to be like her second home. It was where she would go when it was just her and piper against the world. They could sit here for hours and read in almost silence. It was the one place where they would actually remain quiet. 

"So the old Bella really is back?" a voice which was starting to annoy Bella pulled her out of the world she was reading. "okay now I'm just scared" she muttered, closing her book. He raises his eyebrows at her. "You're basically stalking me" she says. "I am not, I just happened to be in here at the same time" he smiles. "What do you want ben?" she asks. "I was just talking-" the king starts but the blonde stops him. "Save it. I want the truth" she rolls her eyes. "Fine, Audrey asked me to keep an eye on you. Make sure you are okay" he admits. Bella sighs. "And I wanted to ask you to sing on parents day" he says. "No can do, sorry bennyboo" she smiles sweetly. "Come on! You have a great voice!" he pleads. "How do you know?" she crosses her arms. "You forget I grew up with you, plus I've been told from my sources" he says. "Sources?" she questions, standing up. He begins walking along with her. "I have friends on the other side" he quotes making the younger girl scoff. "You making a villain" she starts, air quotes over the word villain "reference is just wrong" He looks at her and smirks. "You're a princess" he states. "Im not like a typical princess" She shrugs, hugging her books as the exited the peaceful room. "You're right. You're special. Consider singing?" He tries his luck. "Nope" she smiles. "I have to go to class, later bennyboo" she giggles. "Goodbye Bella" he smiles watching the girl wander down the corridor. 

"Hey" Carlos smiles as he approaches his girlfriend. He tries to put an arm around her but she shifts out of the way. "Hi" she says. "Look I'm sorry I left suddenly earlier" He apologises. "Its okay, you didn't want to tell me something so you left, no biggie" she shrugs, avoiding eye contact. "Im-" he tries to talk again. "I have class, I'll see you after" she smiles, kisses his cheek and is gone with the crowd. He frowns. He hurt her but he didn't know how to apologise. "relationship problems?" jay comes up behind him. "What? no!" Carlos insists as they walk towards their class. "Whatever you tell me, just don't be jealous that you'll never be as adorable as piper and myself" jay smirked as they walked into English. English was one of the only two lessons he didn't share with Bella. He was in what was supposedly her year, she in his. Smarts really messed with age sometimes. Carlos scoffed at his best friends comment but didn't reply as their teacher was glaring at the pair. Bella was on his mind throughout the whole lesson. Carlos was on her mind throughout the whole lesson. Even after a dip on the smooth sailing ship, they still thought about each other endlessly. True love.
