(Narrator POV)

Messy blond hair sprung up as if he had been struck with a thunderbolt, and with the sheer amount of clutter gathered in his small room, nobody would say it was too far fetched. A pair of eyes slowly fluttered open, revealing a shade of electrical yellow, matching the teen's bright blonde hair.

"Good morning Rai." Slowly muttered the sleepy teen, lazily turning onto his side so he could face the door, and saw his mother's Raichu sitting in the doorway, with an annoyed look on her face. "You've been shocking me since I was 12, do you honestly not expect me too develop a resistance by now?" Rhetorically huffed Y/n, before allowing himself too lay back down on his back, and gaze up at the ceiling for a minute.

"Rai! Chu, chu!" Annoyedly grumbled Rai, one of his mother's oldest Pokémon, being the second one she had caught on the start of her journey, a journey that Y/n hoped too embark on today, while Y/n noticed an electrical glow sparking from Raichu's cheek pouches. "RAICHU!" Loudly hummed Raichu, making Y/n dive out of the way of the attack, which caused the teen too messily fall into a pile of clothing. 

"Really? You are blaming me for the fact I can resist electricity? Why are you like this?" Confusedly mumbled Y/n, standing up and ruffling out his top, making sure that his stomach wasn't being exposed for his sleeping top coming up. "Is mom making breakfast?" Curiously asked Y/n, watching in amusement as Rai crouched down, making Y/n spread his feet in preparation as he lowered his center of gravity.

In an instant Rai lurched forward, her body moving at incredible speeds, before her head collided with Y/n's stomach, causing the teen too stumble back slightly, while he held onto the Raichu. Once Y/n had regained his centre of gravity, Y/n could feel Rai easily climb up his body, and onto his left shoulder which had become something like a ritual for the two, which had helped Y/n's body a lot.

Covering his mouth with his left hand Y/n let out a yawn, before the blond teen sauntered out of the room, and headed down the hallway towards the kitchen. Looking through the hallway, Y/n could see the many of photos of him and his mother, with all of them in various regions from either moving or just holidays.

The last photo in the hallway was solely dedicated to his mom, who had been on a journey since the age of 15 to 23, and on that journey she had met many Pokémon, friends, and his father, but now she had retired once she got pregnant with him. In the photo was his mom, who stood at 5'8, with straight white hair that went down to her shoulders, yellow eyes, she had sun kissed skin, and she wore a simple burgundy tracksuit.

She had her Pokémon in the photo when she had won the league, her starter Yami the Incineroar, Rai the Raichu, Rocky the Aggron, Roller the Scolipede, Boom Box the Noivern, and Corn the Corviknight. The best Pokémon she had in each region, all of them monsters in their own right, and each were capable with going against a champions Pokémon.

"Morning mom." Loudly groaned Y/n, looking into the kitchen and seeing his mom already eating at the table, freezing slightly when he saw that someone else was with her. "Gloria? Munching off us again?" Jokingly mumbled Y/n, plopping himself down onto the spare chair, and saw that there was a fry up in front of him, normally Y/n wouldn't eat something like this but because he'll be doing a lot of walking soon it would be okay.

"Ya munch of ya ma, and you sayin I do the same?" Loudly questioned Gloria, a smirk growing on her face, before it turned into a smile and Y/n couldn't help but do the same. "Please, your mom loves me more than she does you." Indigenously snorted Gloria, her accent changing in an instant, as Y/n's mother simply nodded along in agreement.
