Thoughts to my future wife; at an empty table

My dear future wife
I've often wondered what you will be like
My desire is to ponder
In the freedom of the Lord
And the beauty that He has made

My eyes see only what lies outside
I must and will search that which is hidden, within
What do I want my wife to be? Can I even grasp?
An infinite soul, a million faceted heart
For time's sake, I will gaze and study one of the many priceless things

What strength has the Creator put in you?
What is your chief beauty and joy that He has put in you?
I desire above all else, suppressing my own flesh
That your love would be first and foremost for my God
That only He and He alone, you would desire and seek for

For there will come times, when you or I, or both of us together
Will descend into the valley; the valley of vision
I will not always be your knight in shining armor
For the armor will get bangs, and bents, scrapes, and tainted with the mud of this world
Let His banner fly! Let His love, power, and hope be unfurled!

There will come a time when I will lose sight of love
May the Lord give me discernment and wisdom to find you
There are those who have competed for my heart in times past
And the adulteress hunts for the precious life
Surely there are adulterers too who will seek to lead you astray
To lead and divert us from one another
It is a battle we have been made worthy of; to be entrusted
For God does not commit us to battles and wars that He knows we couldn't win nor have victory
Blessed be His Name! Listen to the Voice of truth, as will I!

I must fight and strive on: to remain faithful!
I must fight and strive on: so that God may help us find one another
We must fight and strive on: that we may await in assurance for His blessings! His promises!
Oh my dear future wife, though temptation cannot overpower us, how great is it still
Though God's children stumble, they shall not utterly fall
But rather, He has promised to uphold us by His righteous right hand

My love will be solely for the Lord alone
And He will reward me with His love intertwined with your's

Ah Lord God, it is hard
Indeed, it is a difficult battle
But as a servant's eyes look to his Master
So my eyes look to You, until You have mercy on me
On my future dear; the wife of my youth

Let me hear your tender words, my love
And let me see your strength in Him
Like a pillar sculptured in palace style
And like a bird of blended colors among the roses
Is my love to me

I am reminded; all to His loving grace, power, and mercy
“More are those who are with us, than those against us”
And “Greater is He who is in us, than he who is in the world”
As a dove, may you and I remain silent and waiting on one another
And as He has given us His full armor, the sword that He laid in our hand; His Word
Let us stand up and slay all lies, all the while seeking after Him
May He give me discernment and wisdom to find you

My people's economy may fall
And if they are your people, it may seem to hurt us both as well
But we cannot be shaken if we are standing on the Rock; for Jesus Christ the Rock cannot be shaken
He knew and knows all, all that is done and all that is to come
His peace and His sustaining grace that sometimes hide
Into His arms, we will be taken

We will be in the world, but not of the world
He has promised that we will have tribulation and yet to be of good cheer
He has overcome the world!
The world will fight and contend for our hearts, and not because they love us
But that they seek to destroy us; Satan knows that we were meant for each other
Unity, he has always hated

Let us live in the powerful freedom, love, and grace of the Lord
That our happiness and joy might all the more abound!

There will be times I will be selfish for your love
It would be a mercy to me, if you would remind me
That my love is first and foremost to God, not unto you
This is my true heart's cry and desire
And there will be times when I forget
In such, you would be a blessing to me
To the fullest
