You never thought you'd see him again given the circumstances, but there he stood, right in front of you as you were about to be zombie dinner.

Of course, Harry was the one that helped you up when you fell down out of fear, but it was Zion who bashed the zombie's head for you and the one who grabbed your hand to drag you to the school.

Well, you weren't really surprised knowing that he was strong enough to protect himself even before all this chaos and drama had started.

You first saw him when you transferred to a new school. You didn't study in the same school as him. No. The high school he attended was for elites.

Everyday you'd see students from his school pass by your own and you'd be astonished by their glamour and aura. It's only natural for students from that school to shine the way they did given that only those who could afford it could wear their uniform.

Zion was different though. He'd be constantly surrounded by girls far prettier than Scarlett ever will be and he'd still have that bored-out-of-his-mind look. Like everything is just too burdensome for him.

Deep inside you felt like the boy is missing something in his life, but you can't point out what it was. Did he receive enough affection from his family? Does he actually have friends that he can talk to? You're not sure.

You just felt sorry for the kind of life he could possibly had been living, that when you saw him get into a fight with three guys who pissed him off, you really didn't feel like judging his rough nature.

Time and time again you would see him wandering around your school like it's nobody's business and girls from your academy soon started swooning over him. It's really unsurprising.

He's fairly tall with a model-like build. You describe it to your friend as "slender but not fragile." And remembering how he took down three guys, you would very much agree so.

His hair is a deep shade of passionate red and you sometimes wonder if his passion in romance is as strong as the color it represents.

His yellow eyes shimmer brightly like pure gold and you would agree that to be locked in his gaze will be just as precious as the metal itself.

Despite how he frequented your school's vicinity, you never really spoke to him. You never found the reason nor the courage to.

The first time you spoke was during a rainstorm approximately two years ago.

You were walking down a less traveled road to your home so you could enjoy the rain a bit more when you saw a familiar red head sitting underneath a torn waiting shed with his head resting against the wooden board behind him.

You approached the area and took a peak to see if it really was him.

Unfortunately, you were a lot noisier than you intended as your umbrella hit the side of the shed. Startled by your presence the boy moved back a bit, but upon seeing your face frown, "Psh, it's a girl." he said annoyed.

Taken aback and a bit insulted you responded with an equally annoyed tone, "Ugh, it's a boy."

"Huh? What the hell, kid?" he asked sounding agitated.

"Well, you're the one who started it." you answered.

The boredom soon returned to his face and he leaned back again to rest his head on the board behind him. "Go away." he said.

You hesitated a little, but decided to stay. "No." you said feeling quite bold.

Once again, Zion looked at you with a pissed expression on his face. "Huh?!Whaddya want from me?" he asked a little rougher this time.

You went closer to him by stepping inside the shed so you can fold your umbrella. "I usually see you in the area around the school-"

"So?" he cut you off with a scowl.

"So I was wondering what you're doing there and what you're doing here?" you asked a little bit annoyed by his standoffish attitude.

Though it was you who decided to disturb his moment of peace so you really weren't in the position to be pissed off.

"I do whatever the hell I want to, mom. Similar to how you did whatever the hell you wanted to and invaded my personal space." he said with a rough tone.

You laughed at his answer earning a shocked look from the young man. "Can't really argue with you on that one." you said while giggling. "But seriously, shouldn't you be heading home like everyone else?" you asked knowing it's getting late.

"Do you see anything on me, kid? I don't have an umbrella." he started. "And I hate getting wet in the rain." he continued almost like a side comment.

"Aww." you responded with a sad tone. You remember handing over your umbrella to a cute boy you met at a bus stop near your school. "I just gave my spare to someone else." you whispered.

The red headed boy eyed you for moment then lifted his right foot onto his seat and wrapped his hands around his knee like he's trying to get comfortable. He then leaned back once more before speaking. "It's not like I wanna go home anyway." he said.

"Oh... I see." you responded not knowing if you're in the position to ask why he didn't want to come home.

The boy closed his eyes and spoke again. "Anyway, it's getting dark. And the road where you're headed doesn't have bright lights like the main road. Go home while it's still bright, kid. Wouldn't want ya to get hurt."

"Well okay. We'll see each other again, right?" you asked a bit hopeful.

"Don't bet on it. I'm not good with remembering people." he responded casually. But somehow you felt like he means the other way around.

You left with a small "take care" before dashing back out in the rain to get home.

Remembering all that happened in your past in your current situation feels bittersweet, but at least, you can rest easy knowing he's still alive.

"Hey, what's that dumb look on your face for, kid?" Zion asked as he sat in front of you. You were waiting for the evening meeting to start.

"Nothing. Just remembering something." you responded earning a fed up frown from the red head.

Yeah. You're glad that he's still alive. Even if he doesn't remember who you are.
