I'm losing my motivation. Not for DF though... for something else.

The dying rays of the late autumn sunset casted a picturesque but somewhat melancholic light over the cold concrete of the school walls, coming in through the open windows and illuminating the specs of dust dancing rhythmically up above your head, making them give off a peculiar sparkle that on an ordinary day would have drawn awe from your lips.
It was unfortunate that today was not one of those days.
As the crisp wind of semi-night air shifted in its strength and rattled the broken glass of the large windows, so did your emotions change from slightly forlorn to deeply afflicted with a strange sense of hopelessness that you could not shake off.
It was so heavy and rough, like an unpolished rock rolling and gnashing against the inside of your chest, dropping eventually into your stomach and breaking into a hundred prickling pieces of sharp dread piercing you from the inside out.
The sickening feeling was too overwhelming that, for the umpteenth time since entering the devoid room that you used to share with your friend Judy, you sighed - allowing a state of sadness to take over your mind if only for a little while as you wondered desperately when the horrid nightmare would ever end.
It has been frigid since she disappeared, and day after day this freezing coldness gets worse. You thought you could get over it, convincing yourself that she did run away despite every part of your brain telling you that she would never do such a thing. But when Jay and Scarlett died not long after, and when Sue disappeared for an unbelievable reason, you started thinking that you really weren't safe whether it be in the sea of bloodthirsty zombies or in the presence of straight-thinking, normal individuals.
The only people you had left of whom you believe and have complete faith in that you could trust were Harry, Zion, Eugene, and Ethan and all of them were currently out beyond the rusted school gates, braving the danger in order to continue the search that had been halted since the event with Lawrence when he so mercilessly bludgeoned a stranger to death.
A series of what ifs and what coulds raged in your mind like a violent storm as the sun slowly sunk into the horizon, taking the light with it and allowing the familiar blanket of shadows to envelop the city, the mountains, and the school, and increasing the intensity of the helplessness that has engulfed your being since the moment they left.
You knew it was about time that they returned, whether or not they were able to get something good. After all, the streets and roads that encompasses the city, as quiet as they may be, were not exactly the safest place especially when the darkness falls.
They know that. All of them do. But why weren't they back yet?
You closed your eyes after a long while of staring, allowing your vision its much needed break from the constant gate-watching, in the hopes that any minute you would see their figures emerge. But just in time as you turned away, a strong breeze squeezed through the crack on the glass right in front of you, striking your face with it's cold hands and forcing you to recognise the feel of your salty tears that had been falling from your eyes for who knows since when.
You lifted your hands to wipe your soaked, pale cheeks, and as though the watery feel wasn't enough to convince you of the whirlpool of hopelessness, worry, and sadness that you feel, you looked at your wet fingers to confirm that you had been crying.
You desperately wanted to see them return. To hear their exhausted footfalls but merry voices, and to feel the almost unnoticeable warmth that floods the room whenever they huddle together for an important meeting or for an otherwise meaningless chitchat.
