YEONA'S POV

I sprang out of bed, my heart pounding with excitement and a giddy smile plastered across my face. I rushed to the bathroom, humming as I went. Yuji groaned and threw a pillow over her head, grumbling about my early-morning energy. I shrugged it off and turned up the music, singing along while I washed up.

After my shower, I stood in front of the mirror, debating what makeup to wear. I settled on something simple but elegant—just enough to highlight my features. Then came the outfit. Cute but not too much. Something that said, "I didn't try too hard," even though I clearly did.

Once I was satisfied, I texted Hyunjin:
"On my way. 😊"
His reply came almost instantly:
"Meet me in the lobby."

I checked myself one last time in the elevator mirror, giving myself a little pep talk. When the doors opened, I spotted Hyunjin sitting casually on the couch. As soon as he saw me, he stood up and looked me over from head to toe.

"Wow, you definitely didn't try at all," he teased with a smirk.

"Well, you look... neat enough," I fired back, pretending to be unimpressed—but honestly? He looked incredible. Relaxed and effortlessly charming. It was the first time I'd seen him dressed like that, and something about it made my heart skip.

He raised a brow like he hadn't heard me. "So, where's Jeongin?" I asked, glancing around.

"He's not coming," Hyunjin said.

"What? Why not?"

"It's just going to be us today," he added, his smile widening.

"Just... you and me?" I asked, pointing awkwardly between us.

"Yep. Just us."

My brain short-circuited. Was this a date?

We got in a taxi, and though it was a little awkward at first, we eased into conversation. We joked about the movie from last night, laughed about Jeongin's obliviousness, and started feeling comfortable again.
