CHAN'S POV
After we finished our lunch, we went to Changbin's house. Before getting out of the car, he smiled at me. I decided to exit the vehicle and wait for him to enter. He looked at me with a puzzled expression.
"I'll just see you go inside," I said, putting my hands in my pockets.
"You don't have to," he explained.
"But I want to," I said, smiling. He just laughed as he turned around and entered their home.
While joy still lingered in my heart, I began driving to my home. I was unable to control my smile. I got home and entered. In the living room, Felix was playing with his phone while sitting on the couch. I approached him and sat down next to him. I observed his side profile as he played. My head was resting on his right shoulder.
Felix asked without looking away from his game, "What do you want?
Nothing, I said, "I just feel so happy."
"Did you two make out?", he questioned.
"Yes, but hold on", I said.
"Two people went on an overnight trip, Hyung," he said, and I just stared at him in disbelief.
As I saw my mother approaching, I left him in the living room. I hugged her and asked where Dad was, to which she replied that he was playing golf with a business partner. I returned to my room and sat on my bed, staring at the ceiling. I smiled as I remembered what had happened the night before.
*****
At 4:30 in the morning, I awoke and went to the bathroom to get ready. I then finished my morning skincare routine, dried my hair with a blow dryer, and put on my uniform. I used hair spray to style my hair and gave myself one last look in the mirror.Even though it was almost that hour, when I went down, everyone was still asleep because they were scheduled to wake up at 5 am. I left the home and began walking toward Changbin's.
Three days had passed since the overnight journey. I've been traveling to Changbin's house early every morning for the past two days, starting on Monday, so we can go to school together. I was aware of how ridiculous and embarrassing that was. When those couples did awkward things, I used to make fun of them, but look at me now-I was one of them. I suppose love may truly motivate you to embrace the change you never thought you could.
It was already 5:40 a.m. when I arrived at their house. I sat on the stairs at their gate and texted him to let him know I was there. I waited for him for 15 minutes before he came out. As soon as he saw me, he smiled and we began walking to the bus stop. I held his left hand, but he quickly removed it.
"Are you crazy? People will stare at us; what if someone in our school saw us?" he wondered, looking around.
"So what? What matters to me is you, not their opinions," I explained, and he simply smiled.
"You might be able to ignore them, but I can't," he explained.
"Are you embarrassed about me? Do you want me to shout that I'm your boyfriend? I'M CHANGBIN'S BOYF- " He cut me off by covering my mouth.
"No, I'm not embarrassed of you; I'm just not ready for people to know who I am, what I am; I hope you understand." He said, and I nodded as we continued walking.
He suddenly grabbed my left hand, and I looked at him in surprise.
"Until we get to the bus stop," he said, not looking at me. I smiled at him, tightening my grip on his hand.
When we arrived at school, we agreed to behave normally until we decided to come out. We were supposed to act normally around each other, but it was extremely awkward for us. We were extremely self-conscious and nervous. I flinched slightly as an arm hung over my shoulder.
"Yow Chan! What's wrong? You seem nervous," Yuji said, looking at me from head to toe.
" No, I'm not," I said, lying.
"No, he isn't," Changbin said, and we exchanged glances. Thank goodness Yuji was dim.
The morning class went off without a hitch. Lunch arrived, and we were all seated at the table once more. alongside Seungmin I'd been extremely cautious around Seungmin. We had been avoiding each other, and he had continued to ignore Changbin. But I couldn't blame him. So he was sitting at the table's edge, eating quietly.
"Yah, Seungmin! Why are you so quiet? You've been like this since Monday; what's the matter?" Jisung asked, and we all looked at him. He just forced a smile and shook his head, and they assumed he was fine.
The remaining classes had concluded, and we were all about to leave. Changbin waited for me to finish fixing my stuff before accompanying me down. We noticed Yeona and the others waiting for us at the door.
"Let's go home, Chan," Yeona suggested, but I was on my way home with Changbin.
"Oh, I've got some things to do; you go home first," I explained.
"What? You're going to leave me with these two? I'm going to be the third wheel with these love birds," Yuji grumbled as she hugged my left arm. When I looked at Changbin, he was staring at Yuji as if he was about to punch her out. I yanked my arm free of her grasp.
"Don't worry, they won't do anything, right?" I said emphatically as I shifted my gaze between Yeona and Hyunjin.
They all went home, and Changbin and I went out to eat. We ate some street food while talking and laughing. We then returned home. We arrived in Changbin's neighborhood and walked together.
"Have you noticed how quiet Seungmin has been these days? He's been avoiding me and I believe you as well," he said, and I swallowed my saliva as I felt nervous.
"Maybe he's just tired, or maybe he has seasonal illness now that winter has arrived," I lied.
"Really? He doesn't look like that, and he hasn't been like that in the five years we've known him," he said as he looked at me. He came to a halt and looked at me as if he could read my mind.
"Do you know anything?" he asked as he separated our hands.
"What about, Seungmin? No," I said, high-pitched, as I used my hands for gestures too much.
"I know that when you do a lot of gestures, it means you're lying. " He said as he crossed his arms.
"No, I'm not!" I stumbled.
"Tell me," he said solemnly, his voice raspy. He sounded so seductive.
I eventually gave up and told him what I had discovered. I'm not sure if he appeared surprised, angry, disappointed, or both. He had a unique way of expressing his emotions on his face that I couldn't possibly analyze. Maybe I looked like that when I first discovered.
"How come you didn't tell me?! " he exclaimed.
"I just didn't want to add to your anxiety; you've already had enough," I explained.
"You could have told me that," he said.
" Okay, fine, but why are you mad at me? I was just worried about you," I said, raising my tone slightly.
He ignored me and continued to run his hand through his hair. I yelled his name, and he ran away. I was ready to overtake him when my phone notified me of something. When I opened it, a message from Woojin was inside.
" I need to see you. Come to my room. "
" I don't have a reason to see you. "
" You want me to give one? "
He had sent a few images. Me and Changbin were there. last Saturday, when we were having sex. As I swiftly texted him back, my eyes grew wide.
