Chapater 16: Hinunangan's Ethereal

Forgiveness is the important thing that every humankind must give. Especially to the person who hurts you whether
it's serious or not.

Because of Yurie our enmity is no longer last. I know that Eros is now slowly changing his whole self. And I notice that he is now serious. Mas naging sweet at malambing pa siya sa'kin ngayon. Ang gusto ko na lamang baguhin sa kanya ay ang pagiging playboy at bad boy niya. He should have change that kind of personality.

Now he is sitting next to me. At dahil alam ko ng may namamagitan sa aming dalawa ay hindi na ako nahihiya pang humiga sa kanyang kumandong para rito matulog.

“Alex, I'm sorry for hurting you too much.” Napabukas bigla ang aking dalawang mata nang magsalita si Eros dito. “Sorry sa sakit na dinulot ko sa iyo. Dahil sa akin naging prolemado ka.” Dagdag niya rito na seryosong nakatingin sa'kin.

“It's okay lang 'yon, Eros. At least nakita ko na galing sa'yo na humihingi ka ng tawad. That's enough for me.” I said while smiling at him. “Thank you.” He said. Eros gently comb out my hear using his hand.

“I love you.” He tell that line in a whisper while biting my jaw. “Array.” I moaned lowly dahil sa masyadong masakit ang pagkakagat niya.

It's 3:25 pm and still we are in our trip to Hinunangan. May kalayuan daw kasi ang lungsod na ito rito sa amin. Isang sasakyan lamang ang dinala namin at kay Eros ang kotseng ginamit namin ngayon. Eros told his mom's driver to take us to the province. Kaya ngayon si Manong Jose 'yong nagda-drive ngayon.

“Manong, ilang kilometro na po kaya ang pupuntahan natin?” Eros asks the driver at agad naman itong sumagot sa kanya. “Limang kilometro nalang, Sir Eros makaka-abot na rin tayo.”

“Manong 'pag maka-abot na tayo sa night market huminto muna tayo roon dahil bibili muna tayo ng pagkain.” Utos ni Eros kay Manong Jose. “Okay po, Sir.” Then he replied back.

I should get some sleep right now. My eyes are calling me to take little nap dahil mukhang napapagod na rin ang katawan ko kanina pa. I positioned myself and still my head is on his lap then I closed my eyes.

“Alex, we are finally here.” Eros said while shaking my head gently to wake me up. “Alex, we're here.” He said again and again.

Nang maramdaman kong naiinitan na ang likod ko ay tuluyan ko ng binuksan ang aking mga mata at kinuskos ito. I saw Eros steal a glance from me. Nakatitig lamang siya sa'kin. “Narito na tayo.” Bungad niya.

I smiled at him in reply as I am excited to go out of this car and see the setting of its place. This is my first time in Hinunangan. As Eros opens the door, my eyes are eager to meet people. It probably like I can't wait to see the beautiful sceneries of the surroundings.

I quickly come out the car and then my face suddenly make a large curve, forming a big smile when I saw the street lights blazed merrily. People are walking down the street using their winning smile. The wind blew not just gentle breezes but full-blown bone chilling winds. Totoo ngang may kaginawan din ang lugar nito tuwing pagsapit ng alas singko ng hapon. I wear my coat and then walk with them. Pupunta raw kasi kami ngayon sa night market dito para bumili ng panghapunan at handa bukas.

As I am walking here, people gave their smiles to us. Ito raw kasi ang kultura ng mga hinunangnon as a they empowered their attitude of being hospitable when they see new migrants in their town. So I gave them my beautiful smile too.
