Chapter 24: Destiny

Alexa’s Point of View

Aunt Eliza welcomes me with her family. She has two kids and a well-groomed husband. After we get acquainted to each other, my aunt oriented me about my room and this is going to be a barbie theme. Napakasarap lang sa mata tignan ang kulay ng paligid ng house room ko.

“This is virtually pleasing to the eye, tita.” Sambit ko kay tita na nakangiting tumingin sa aking harapan. Honestly, I was really obsessed with the theme. “This room is for my little sister but since you are here, ipinapaubaya na ni baby Kia ang kwarto niya.” Sabi ni Tita sa'kin dito.

“Wow? Kay baby pala ito, ang sama ko naman.” Birong bigkas ko rito na nag-aabalang ilagay 'yong mga gamit. “Do that later, Alex. I know you are hungry now.” Sabi ni Tita sa'kin kasabay ng pagkuha ng aking kamay.

“Naghihintay na sa atin ang pagkain sa mesa.” Sabi ni Tita na hila-hila pa rin ang kamay ko. “Let's eat, ate Alex.” Kia invited me for a lunch. She’s pretty, nagkalat pala 'yong mga magagandang lahi namin.

“Okay, baby Kia. I'm so grateful that I met you, baby.” Sabi ko rito sa kanya habang kinurot ang pisngi niya. “Can I hug you?” I asked her then she quickly get up and hugged me. Malambot 'yong katawan niya at sobrang sarap pisilin ito.

“Now go back to your seat dahil kakain na tayo.” Utos ko sa kanya at agad naman siyang bumalik at umupo.

Lumibot na ako rito sa aking upuan because they are waiting for me to sit down. Is this their normal foods or they just prepared me a special dishes for my coming? Ang sarap kasi ng pagkain dito. Well this isn't undisputed---they have that wealth!

“Alex, you will be the one to pray.” Tita requested me to pray for our lunch. Tumango na lamang ako at inumpisahan ang pagdadasal.

“Let's eat!” As I am not done praying I already heard a whoop of joy from Kleo. He is so excited to eat the foods placing at the top of the table. “Amen.” I said when I'm done praying. Tumingin ako kay Kleo and he can't wait to eat this all.

“Get this, Alex. I'm sure you will be satisfied of this taste.” Ani ni Tita rito sa'kin kasabay ng pag-abot niya ng cordon bleu. “That's my specialty.” Dagdag naman niya.

Agad na akong kumuha ng isang isang slice nito at agad tinikman. When I bite it, it's such a luscious one. Delicious food taste were stuck in my tongue.

“Masarap nga, Tita. I hope you will teach me how to cook like this.” Sabi ko sa kanya rito. “Sure, Alex. I'm looking for the right day.” She said and smiled at me.

Natapos na akong kumain dito. I volunteered to wash the plate at pagkatapos nito ay nagbihis na ako ng damit. Today we'll be going to my new school here in Canada. Tita will accompany me to get my scholarship and enrolled myself to that school.

“Are you ready to meet your new school?” Asked Tita as I am putting light foundation on my face. “I'm not so sure about it, Tita. It seems like I am nervous to meet people in my next school.” Sagot ko rito sa kanya at sabay itinali na ang buhok ko into bonded.

“I'll assure you, Alex, your school is going to be one of your favorites.” Ani ni Tita rito.” She said as she waits for me. “I'm hoping for that, Tita. Lalo na ngayon mahirap pa naman kapag transferee. You have to adapt and adjust yourself.” Wika ko rito sa kanya at sabay kinuha na ang shoulder bag ko.

Binuksan ko na ang sasakyan at saka pumasok na sa loob nito. Today is tuesday kaya may regular class sa eskwelahan na pupuntahan ko. Even inside this car ay sobrang lamig paano na kayo sa labas.
