once the guys left oscar said he was going to take a shower and to feel free to take his room if she was tired. but athena just quickly cleaned all the blood on the floor and table. she knew better than to stay at a gang leaders house. but she knew oscar wasn't like the others. but yet again it could be just a front. once she was done cleaning and sanitized everything she went over to check on matias and then made her way to the room sammy was in. she wanted nothing more than to cuddle by his side and take his pain. this wasn't the first time sammy has slipped into a coma, but this was the first time she was the one to remove the bullets. she went over to kiss his forehead one more time before flicking the lights off and shutting the door softly.
athena didn't realize that oscar had also come out of the bathroom and she ran straight into him as she turned around. quickly she looked up and realized oscar didn't have a shirt on and only a pair of black sweats. "omg i'm so sorry oscar, I- I didn't see you" athena said quickly. she mentally slapped herself for stuttering and for blushing at the fact that he was shirtless. "don't even worry about it, I didn't see you either" he said with a light laugh. athena stood there looking at him, the way his chest was still slightly damp and how low he had the sweats on. she knew her mouth was parted and her cheeks were red. oscar looked at her slightly confused at why she was so flustered and shy if her boyfriend was in the room. but he decided to let it go.
"again thank you oscar for letting sammy stay here but I should probably head home" she looked at the ground while talking and twirled her thumbs together. "you're crazy if you think i'm going to let you leave at 3 in the morning with a baby. don't worry about it." oscar said and he thought about why she would want to leave at this hour. "are you sure oscar?" "i'm positive athena, mi casa es tu casa" he said with a wink to try and lighten the mood which only caused her to blush and look away.

on cue matias started to cry and they both quickly rushed over to see what was wrong. athena knew he needed his diaper changed, she quickly walked over to the duffle bag to only realize she forgot to take down his bag also, she sighed and walked over to the front door. "where are you going?" oscar said but the way he said it made her heart flutter a bit "I forgot his bag in the car so i'm just going to run out and get it real fast" she said as she turned the door knob. "I got it, you should be outside this late" and with that he quickly took the keys from her and walked to the car.
when he walked back inside he saw athena on the floor with matias on her stomach. "you can change him in my room if you want, so you won't hunch over." athena said a quick thank you and walked to his room.

"do you um- do you think it's okay if I take a shower? I promise I won't take long I just have blood on my clothes" she said but kinda trailed of thinking how dumb she sounds asking a guys she's only seen twice to use his shower. oscar chuckled at the fact that she look so nervous "of course, I mean I don't have shampoo for like girls or whatever but yeah, do you need some uh clothes?" athena couldn't help but let out a loud laugh at the fact that oscar even has shampoo but had no hair. he looked at her confused " you don't even have hair oscar" she said in between laughs " alright shut up and shower"
oscar said that he needed to tidy up the bathroom before she could use it. and while he was doing that she placed matias in the middle of oscars bed and sat on the edge of the bed waiting for oscar to come out. "okay you can go in now, sorry if it's messy" he said while rubbing the back of his neck. "it's fine don't even worry about it" she walked over to the living room and grabbed the bag and went to the restroom.
once she shut off the water she noticed that he had left a grey tshirt along with a pair of sweats. she smiles at the thought of him leaving her clothes. she decided to wear the shirt he had left only because it looked more comfortable than the random one she has thrown in her bag. she quickly put a pair of lilac cotton shorts along with a pair of socks and slipped his shirt on. she took her hair out on the towel and let her curls air dry.
she neatly folded her clothes back into the bag and walked out of the bathroom. she placed the bag back in the livingroom and went to go check on matias and oscar. the sight in front of her made her want to cry. oscar was on his back with matias on his stomach and they were both peaceful asleep. she walked back to the living room and decided to just sleep on the couch. she knew she would cuddle up to sammy and possibly hurt him and she didn't want to take the risk, not now at least. and she was smarter than to lay next to oscar. what is he had a girlfriend or something. she wanted to avoid it all all cost.
just when she was about to fall asleep oscars voice scared her " why are you on the couch, come sleep in my room, i'll take the couch" his voice was raspy and it made athena feel a certain way. "no it's okay i'm totally fine here" she said and oscar didn't listen and told her to hurry up.
his bed was surprisingly comfortable and his sheets smelled clean. she couldn't help but feel bad about kicking him out of his room basically. as athena laid there the fear started to kick in. the fear of not knowing if sammy is actually going to wake up, or how long it was going to take for oscar to kick them out, how long until something worse happens and how long until she's found. she finally let all the emotions she was feeling out and she knew she wasn't safe.
