Thank you everyone for reading, I hope you are doing well! To be honest, like most of my stories, I simply wrote it because there was something missing from current fan fics for my most favourite character and that's xreader lol. Most of my profile is x reader :D

The next day, stepping onto the university ground placed you at ease rather than fill you with anxiety like it did the previous day. You weren't scared anymore. You lifted your hand to wave to Honeylemon as she was waving to you excitedly. She was standing next to Tadashi whose smile could have put you in a puddle as you melted at the sight of his smile. 

Nope, not now. Time to focus. 

You smiled back at them before approaching them.

"How are you today (y/n)?" Tadashi asked before you could even open your mouth. 

"I didn't get enough sleep last night and yet I feel ready to tackle just about anything today," at this Tadashi laughed. 

"Are you feeling ok?" Honey lemon was nothing but genuine, you couldn't be jealous of her because you adored her too much to feel any negative feelings towards you. You hated to admit that. You nodded, happy she considered you enough to display concern for you. 

"Yes, I have my best friend in hand," you said bringing attention to the cup of coffee in hand," Tadashi lifted his in solidarity and you brought your cup to clink against his. 

"You two are so similar, I swear my brother would marry coffee if he could," Hero came from behind you rolling his eyes at you two and you shrugged. 

"You can't marry coffee, he's mine," you looked at Tadashi completely seriously, and looked at you just as seriously. 

"Um, sorry but she and I are in a very committed relationship, I'm thinking of proposing to Java next week in fact," at this, you couldn't help but laugh and he seemed to think the same. 

"You guys are weird, come on let's go to class," Gogo appeared, a cup of coffee in her own hands. At her words, we began to walk towards the school and departed accordingly to all our own classes. 

Your classes were arranged like most students, class after class until lunch. It was different from the old universities. Where you could pick your own classes and own times. Instead with this uni you would take morning classes until lunch 5 days a week and then in after lunch you would be able to stay in your lab until you decided to go home. Working on your project took a lot of priority. Classes were mandatory of course, you needed to keep learning in order to keep going forward in your project. 

By lunchtime, I was ready for a break, my hands were sore from typing everything down, and second classes were much more work-oriented that the orientation class. 

When you walked into the lunch hall, which was similar to a mall food court, you looked around for any face you recognized, and you found one. Fred. You began walking over to him and he spotted you. He started to wave you over.

"(y/n)! Welcome to the lunch hall! You probably have been here before but I've wanted to say that for a while and you are new enough, how are you?" That was a bit to take in. 

"Thank you for welcoming me, I'm doing alright," you nodded looking at him. He wasn't a student. But he has a fascination with science. 

"That's good, I just got here more or less, came to eat!" you nodded at him. 

"Well, what would you recommend?" You asked him and he nodded, his face more serious than you have ever seen it. 

"Tacos are good on this day, today is really good for tacos," you nodded at his suggestion. 

"Tacos it is, let us go!" You tried to match his energy level and smiled when he agreed with you, a smile on his face again. 

"The hunt for food is on! Lizard vs tacos!" you couldn't help but smile at his enthusiasm to be part lizard.
